How's the glitchin'?

Since a lot of people got the banhammer not so long ago, I was wondering what the future of glitches in GTA:O is.

Sugar Free Nos

I predict I'll be bringing in vehicles from Single-Player and putting them in my garage for a very long time.

The only way I can see them solving that is by flagging everything that does not spawn online. That flag would make it impossible to do anything with the car outside of it's natural habitat.

That's also an incredibly huge task that is more trouble than it's worth.

Rockstar patches glitches to only have another one appear using the same method. If Rockstar really wants people to stop glitching money, they would remove cash cards. Cash cards are actually the source of the problem (and I'm not trolling). Think about almost every glitch in GTA Online. Besides the obvious wall breaches and a few miscellaneous glitches, almost every single one involves the Rockstargames store where you buy cash cards.

They can never fully remove glitches. They can only remove certain entry points in glitches where people expose them. The glitch itself is unsolvable because it would require a major rebuild of whatever system people are glitching. Remember the good ole swingset?

So the first thing you want to do is back out the store, click yes on purchasing cash card, and bla bla bla.

I didn't mean if glitches will keep existing, but if people will be able to use 'em?

If I understood it correctly, everyone that uses glitches now gets instabanned.

i think they're closing in on locking the sp->mp method being used now. not sure about everything else, i've never bothered try them and dont' know the status.

there'll be people working on a new way, but the current method i think its going to go, and soon. they thought htey had it when they rescinded the 10K max fee.

I hope so but I fear the next patch may close the public lobby option as well. I've got 5 cars stored in Franklin's garage waiting for my new garage, hope they get to make the jump!

Pretty much this. Rockstar's own attemp to feed their greed open the doors to a sh*t load of ways to bypass the need to buy money

The only way to stop glitching is to ban people, because as soon as Rockstar patches a glitch, someone on se7enensis will find another one.

Right. So hears the deal. If a glitch is:

A. Not harming you

B. Is not giving the other player any advantage

C. Is not causing lag or causing players systems to crash

Then what the funk has it got to do with you.

1. Your not the police.

2. Ratting on glitchers will NOT get you any ALP (ass licking points) with rockstar, they won't even say thank you!

3. If you are making it your mission to find people glitching, then I'm afraid, the glitchers are doing 1 thing your not...

PLAYING THE GAME!

I'm against any kind of weapon modding (iso mods)

God mode

Garage and apartment killing

Players with unobtainable high RP

Nos (now an iso mod)

Super speed run etc etc. ANY glitch which gives the glitcher an advantage.

but glitches like becoming a tranny, sp2mp, matt pearl paint, no arms, tits out yadda yadda yadda, let them have fun with it.

Your understanding is flawed then. Either that, or this is a joke or a troll post, so either way, HURR HURR.

So far, R* has issued two-week bans to some players (some of whom owned up to it on this forum and were instantly accused of lying and trolling, because this is the Internet) who have glitched. After two weeks, you can play again but chances are if you spent money made from glitching on stuff you technically can't afford. they'll have wiped whatever cash was left in your account to cover the cost of what you bought. You will, however, not lose any guns, cars, houses or mods you bought. So it's really just your on-hand/banked cash that's at risk if they decide to ban you. Take Lester's advice, and invest that sh*t, yo.

First offense stuff, really. Because cash cards, obviously. There's no obvious pattern for those bans, hence there's no huge ban wave (or there is and 90% of them are sulking). The only connection between the bans is the glitching.

But as we know, R* moves in mysterious ways and perhaps their overarching plan is not to ban everyone who glitches but to ban a few people in order to stir up fear to deter the majority of people from doing it. Or maybe someone is going around the Social Club reporting people. I don't know. By and large R* know that handing out bans is detrimental to their income stream because every person they permaban (or even two week ban) is a person who can't buy cash cards, any upcoming DLC and probably won't recommend it to a friend.

Whether R* is just going to carry on banning people at random for two weeks or whether they're going to get serious at some point remains to be seen.

Can't help but feel, however, that if they actually fixed the glitches, this would be a non-issue.

Glitchers usually arent playing the game. Esp the money glitchers. They are spending hours switching between loading screens. If they played the game they would realize how easy it is to make money and not waste so much time not playing. In 3-4 hours a week of playing i have been able to afford every single thing i want to buy in the game without grinding or cheating. If you learn how to use a gun instead of having to use 12 stickies to kill someone in free roam then money is not much of an issue. The baddies have to spend 10k on ammo and insurance every time they kill someone in free roam. So they have to spend half there game time cheating to try and get on my level.
