Was I jacked?

I'm relatively new to GTAO. I spent a few hours yesterday doing solo races and earning money. I had 30,000+ in my bank account, and 8,000+ on me when I went to bed last night. When I got online this morning, I went to an ATM to deposit some of my money. I checked the map first to make sure no other players were nearby, because I've heard you can get robbed while at the ATM, but I don't know any other way of depositing my money. I tried to be quick, but I fumbled a bit with the buttons. I swear I heard a car skid up as I was doing so. When I deposited 2,500 into my account, it showed that was all there was in my account! I quickly closed the ATM screen, but no one was around. I checked my map and there were a couple of players a distance away that maybe could have gotten away that fast.

 

So, was I jacked? I don't know how it works when another player robs you at the ATM, but I don't know where else my money could have gone!!!!!

 

Someone please help??

Perhaps a glitch caused you to lose money? AFAIK you only drop a little bit of money if killed, and around 2 thousand if mugged by a mugger (NPC dispatched by other players)

Huh. A glitch huh? Anything I can do about it? Could it have been anything else?

Never heard of this happening. Also, use your phone next time to deposit money, much faster...

People actually use the ATM machines? I've been using my phone since day 1.
