TheCh3mist
So as an introductory project, I'm currently working on a metro rail project, the light rail cars I'm creating would fit for Los Santos Transit, I wish there was a separate subway line in the game, but oh well, enjoy: uNi

TheCh3mist
Looks awesome! Can you do regular full-size trains or just subway/metro ones? I would love for there to have been the various configurations of the Red Line/Purple Line consist, i.e, the 2, 4 and 6 car rush hour trains. The Nippon Sharyos are going to be used for the light rail system in the game.
TheCh3mist
Good news, finally wrapped the entire front roof of the car, it's curves nearly drove me to the sally ford clinic, I can cry tears of joy now: I think I'm a few more steps closer to saying, "Westbound 501, what is your position?" I wouldn't say that, I just want a good model of my home town line, I can do cars as well, it is the same process even I did trucks, cars or buses, heck even boats. I used to live in Alexandria VA for my first 9 years and I was lucky enough to live right near the Braddock Road metro station, so I saw a good deal of the WMTA trains on a regular basis. TheCh3mist
I would love to ride those one day, and the Budd cars that are in Baltimore/Miami, ironically, when the Red Line in Los Angeles first opened, they leased the miami budds. lol, miami budds. Hahhaa. But yeah, the DC subways are pretty cool. They also kept them very very very very clean, might I add.
TheCh3mist
BART in San Francisco had a few, now if rockstar made their next game in San Fierro, I'd definitely submit BART models.
Carface80
Hmm someone have to make a bronco (or convert) and that grumman bus (flxble bus?) with rear ads saying save the clams. By the time it gets done we can mod gtaV.

By the time it gets done we can mod gtaV. Sounds good with me, I have a few Grumman Flxible drawings that I can use as reference. BTW, I might have to make the "Save the Claims" bilboard if I can get a guestimate of the font used here: http://tomrosenfield.com/img/santa-monica-bank/big/Default-Image.jpg. TheCh3mist
So I wanted to update the thread today, I have currently finished 95% of the front of the car and will be adding further detail to it, I'm excited, the next few phases of this project will consist of door spacing, truck/bogey design, addition of vents, handrails, door lights, cab and interior: thankfully I plan on riding the Metro Red Line up on my commute to University tomorrow, hopefully getting an early start will allow me to photograph more of the car's characteristics. Carface80
Theres not enough north american buses on gta, these grumman, new flyers, orions, novas are ripe for taking. If i got time ill model them too. Easy to work on buses currebtly in service because you can get reference. Older ones, unless they have special events with vintage buses. TheCh3mist
Just an updte: I changed the front of the car a tad bit, but expect more this coming week, I'm focusing in on the axle and undercarriage, plus I still need to model in the cab as well as the interior. TheCh3mist
Good news, finals are over and the car should be completed in the next few weeks, I'm currently looking over actual blueprints of the car that I got from Los Angeles' transit library, meaning that the axle/bogey should be accurate as possible, currently in the process of modeling the exterior passenger window rubber as well as the glass, from that, completing the interior of the car should be a sinch.
