Most effective in-vehicle weapons?

So, I've recently switched to AP Pistol from Micro SMG as my vehicle weapon of choice. Surprisingly, I've found it more effective at landing headshots and popping tires. I've even landed a couple of awesome GTA Race wins by switching to it right before the finish line.

 

Does anyone else find the AP Pistol, or any other weapon particularly superior to the Micro SMG while in vehicles? What is your weapon of choice?

 

Also, there really needs to be an option to pick the default vehicle weapon. It's kind of frustrating to have to cycle through half a dozen weapons in order to get to the desired one. In addition to that, the game should remember last selected weapons for all the slots on foot, instead of just resetting after every session.

Yes for the AP. I drop the micro SMG so it's not in the selection sequence.

I have around 1000 player kills with the AP pistol, it's great for hunting down bounties as you can just shoot it at the back of their car whilst chasing them and it will bite the car up in no time.

I dont think ive fired more than a clip from the smg since i unlocked the ap pistol. Kinda like the ak after i locked the carbine rifle. I still use the carbine more than the advanced rifle

AP for sure! I don't like to be like most of the people using the same guns and etc but I have to give my props to the AP pistol. It's effective on foot and in the car. It can pop out tires easily, really good accuracy, and damage is great! I tried using the other pistols but just because their rate of fire, it's annoying. You need to get headshots with the other pistols if you expect to get any kills with them tbh. Also

This is so true. I literately need to go to my weapon wheel each time and select each weapon and it's annoying because I have so many. Especially those sessions where I get into a gun fight almost instantly and because I think I have the guns from last time, I pull out the wrong gun and get my ass handed to me sometimes.

AP pistol is great.

Yeah, I just got rid of the regular Pistol, the SNS Pistol, the Micro SMG, and Tear Gas, with both characters. The problem is, I keep picking the Pistol and Micro SMG back up in missions. Would probably get rid of of regular SMG and the AK, but those don't bother me.

 

Still, I think implementation of default vehicle weapon option would be a better solution.

I find the Pistol very easy to get accurate and 1 hit kills with. The AP Pistol too. Plus it damages armored cars. The Micro SMG is an all around weapon. So I'd say AP Pistol!
