Does your cars ever explode?

My entity and turismo sometimes catch fire ( out of nowhere ) In Rooftop rumble . "Sometimes" ( it happened twice or thrice before the BD dlc was realesed )

Hopefully it gets patched

u have to pay for it btw

Yes, I've heard this spreading around quite rapidly and it also happened to me personally.

 

I think it's the suspension. Lowering it causes your car to drag extensively, taking damage over time. Try setting suspension to stock, see if that helps.

I haven't had problems with my Entity XF though what Zorvaine has said about the Turismo is true, lowering the suspension to it's lowest setting can damage the engine, causing it to possibly set alight.

Could be modders making it happen to you if their in session. Just a thought as it doesnt seem a wide spread problem.

Especially on the Turismo. Not a big fan of lowering the suspension on certain vehicles, but it makes the Turismo handling awful. Keep it on the stock suspension i say

Get Armour. You are probably getting blown up due to the guys in the black trucks shooting you, and / or slamming into cars

I had my Entity actually explode playing a Phone Mission last week, on Hard. It's the one where you have to steal a rig, then KO all the idiots, then steal the trailer with said rig. I've never experienced Pistols blowing up a fully armored Entity. I was pissed!

I had my Turismo R blow up for no reason. Was in an invite only and called the mechanic for the car. It spawned, I started walking to it and it exploded, killing me in the process. Funny thing is, it did not show up as destroyed, so I just called for it again, and it spawned on the opposite side of the street from the burning wreck of the first one. I just chalk it up to screwy game mechanics, clipping, or odd spawning, like it might have spawned in a fire hydrant or something without me seeing it.

Could be that you have gasoline on the roof.

If you have gasoline on the roof and drive fast, it'll begin to burn, hilarious to do on your own car and just drive away while it randomly begins to burn.

it doesn't slow you down or anything, just makes your car a whole lot tougher
