Q: Upgrading cars for friends?

I have a friend who's just starting out on GTA Online so obviously, as a legit player, he doesn't have much cash yet and has just blown what money he's managed to get hold of on a sh*tty four-car garage. His cars are sh*t-heaps.

 

So my question to you addicts. If he finds a decent car on the LS streets (I think a Felon GT is the best you can mod without buying a car in-game?) and I take it into LS Customs and upgrade it, can he then jump into it, head straight back into LS Customs and claim it by getting insurance and tracking on it?

Yes, I'm sure this works. I remember doing it awhile ago with a friend modding cars for him, then he takes it, & insures & tracks it...

 

Also, the F620 is probably the fastest non-premium car available. But finding one is a chore, as it is quite rare.

Hmm, that brings up another question. Is the cost of insurance and tracking a set amount? Or will it cost him more once i've made a car more valuable with upgrades?

Get him a Dominator. It gets a much higher resale then a Felon or F620 when fully modded.

They are easy to find and its Fast as hell and it sounds Awesome!!

Kinda slidey handling like all the muscles, but if your friend learns to handle it well. He/she will be a much better driver.

Tracker is free when he pulls it in his garage and the ins is cheap for the Dominator.

 

If you dont mind glitching you can keep it for yourself if you have a 10car w/ apt and make clones for him to sell to get him/her set up in a decent pad.

I have a 10-car apartment yes, already full though and there's nothing I want to lose. I wouldn't know where to start with cloning so I'll stick to the easy upgrade a sh*t-piece route. Thanks for the Dominator tip though.
