Once upon a time IRC was a great way to have instant chat etc with like minded people, and i stumbled upon the gtaf irc applet tab, just to be greeted with the java app has failed screen.

 

I still use irc too this day and was wondering if the site network team would be restoring it at any time?

 

Hell i would even be willing to host an unrealircd deamon on my server for this forum.

It's been broken for a few years now. Use mibbit (or mirc, chatzilla, etc..) as an alternative. Most of the chans are just full of idlers, but you can still find some with active people

I use mIRC myself but i try to connect but the server cannot resolve every time i try, unless there is a typo in the server link on the page O.o
