You have to answer some random question about GTA, that even a hardcore GTA player wouldn't know. Then you have to enter the code shown and you also have to confirm via your email.

So you have three steps to prevent spammers, is that a joke? Why would anyone be that determined to spam on this site that you need to irritate your new members by forcing them to fill in all that crap?

 

My question about GTA was what game is officer tenpenny in? WTF I played GTA for years and many days, I don't have a faking clue what game he is in, I have to go and google it..

There is no 'random question', the "what game is officer tenpenny in?" is what seems to be the question every single time.

Also, that's not a hard question, and I don't think a 'hardcore GTA player' wouldn't know it, unless they have only played GTA V (Which makes them a hardcore GTA V player, not hardcore GTA player)

It's an effective question as a robot wouldn't be able to simply Google stuff, this helps reduce the number of spam bots at the site.

With a question, even if it requires a googled answer, Spambots won't be able to sign up because, as Shoumic said, Spambots can't google stuff.
