A Bug Just Ruined the Game For Me

Isn't this yet another one of those beautiful complaining threads...

For the past week or so, I've been testing a Storm the House type teamdeathmatch of mine, it seems to be going well and people enjoy playing it. However, each time I went back into freemode, ALL my sniper ammo is gone. Gone! So I have to head to ammunation and buy 75k worth of ammo.... This happened about 10 times. It didn't really bother me until the second time. Now last night, my friends were hosting some rooftop rumble and I just wanted to play 3 or 4 times, but as soon as I got into the mission. ALL of my ammo AND weapons are gone! That's right, I had to purchase about 450k worth of ammo and guns, and yet I still didn't have my golfclub, 15 molotovs, baseball bat, or my crowbar,

In total, in the past week I have spent over 1million just to get my ammo and weapons back. That's not glitched money either. That's legit money. Gone.

This is a major game-breaking bug for me as all my money was dedicated to future dlc, now I can't go test my deathmatch or anything without fear of losing the rest of my money.

1: Report to Rockstar.

2: Get a Stupid Reply.

3: Wait for the next patch and do not play GTAO till then.

 

Think you could follow that? Better to save whatever you have left rather then spend millions again...

why did you "have to" buy full sniper ammo every time anyway? I always buy ammo untill I have around 1500 bullets because I fear that I might accidentally drop the sniper so I'd have to buy one again xD

 

Sorry for your weapon loss though, if it were just the ammo... but all the weapons, sh*t. Maybe you will get a refund? Good luck!

It's because you have weapons set to forced when you play the deathmatch. It's annoying, but it's easy to avoid forced pick-up deathmatches.

lost my sniper twice with ~9000 bullets. it really is annoying. bought it back once, lost it (groan). waited 3 more levels without a sniper cause i was about to hit 90 (Heavy Sniper). Bought that and lost it. Bought another and it's still there. Definitely makes you angry, and 9000 rounds of sniper ammo is SPENSIVE. sorry for your loss and expect nothing to said about it by rockstar.

since patch 1.11 a total of 6 guns have vanished from my inventory in 8 occasions. having to buy back my guns, not cool.

 

ap = 2

ak = 1

carbine = 1

special carbine = 2

heavy sniper = 1

autoshutgun = 1

 

in my case i was playing in freeroam, sudden lag then the gun disappear from my hand and my inventory.

In your case I'd glitch some money. It wasnt taken legit. Why get it back legit.

if you dont use the sniper that much you may feel like having a 1000 rounds its enough.

 

for me, a 1000 rounds its pretty much low on ammo because i use the sniper a lot. i have used 5000 rounds in 3 days.

It happened to me last week.

 

I simply died in a custom deathmatch where weapons were set to owned. I died. Respawned, ALL ammo gone.

 

 

Had to re-buy everything...

So they keep taking your ammo but youre too good to cheat rockstar out of their video game money. Its just GTA not the ten commandments.

Happens to me too. Managed to stop it somehow. If I put a sniper pickup in a death match it takes my ammo. SMG Pickup? Same. I tend not to get pick ups and it works. Also try not to put it on Forced and Pick ups. Hope this helps!

This is a pretty poor argument. I'm sorry, but unless you're killing every single player in a full public lobby 67 times a session, you don't, and won't need 1000 rounds of sniper ammunition. Set a routine for yourself. Every time you join a new session, go buy 500 rounds of sniper ammunition. You'll learn how quickly you're just wasting your money, and your breath for that matter, thinking this is a serious issue affecting multiple players. It's simply your ignorance costing you money. No offense intended.

Also, maximum 5 rockets, and 1500 smg/assault rifle ammo.

I actually got some help from R* on another issue (disappeared car). While they didn't replace my fully modded Stinger GT, they did give me the orignal purchase amount. Better than nothing, right?

But now, my Special Carbine has disappeared. I came out of a Survival into Freemode, and it was gone. I guess I could go and re-buy it, (or was it originally free?), but I'm kinda annoyed to have to. I guess for fourteen grand it's not worth waiting for R*, but if it were to happen more than once, I'd definitely report it.

 

On the ammo issue, I bought "all ammo" at the beginning of a mission, and continue to top it off each time. Once you do that, it usually doesn't cost that much. Hey, I'll never run out of bullets, that's for sure.
