But catchup was a factor

So he flew like a Lazer

“This victory is mine” I said

As I turned towards the finish

But the player would pit me

Thus my dreams had been diminished

From the plains and to the glaciers

I hate when that happens, especially so when your in second place and the third place racer (assisted by catchup!?) catches up to me and decides not to go for the win, just to stop me from getting it...wrecking both of us in the process. Mindless.

Brilliant piece, OP.

I like to think of myself as a clean racer. I never go out of my way to sabotage others and if one does, it just highlights the complete lack of skill in racing to be able to win without affecting others. However, if people tend to try and pit manoeuvre me, I'll wait until the most opportune moment to slam them into an obstacle.

But some clean racers are out there. My crew tries to race clean as good as possible. At internal events we wait if we knocked someone out to overtake back to his position. At random races... it's not that easy to find really clean racing

I had some dick do that to me on Grand Tour today - traded 1st and 2nd cleanly for 10 minutes just to have him pit me one checkpoint from the finish so I finished third

I can honestly say I've never purposely wrecked someone racing. If it ever happens its a complete accident.

Awesome piece! I get so bent out of shape when ppl intentionally race dirty.I always try to race as cleanly as possible and I know that accidents happen, most accidental cases involving lag as a factor. But when its obviously malicious intent, I usually target that player and wipe them out asap.

Yeah that Catchup thing blows. Many a race was in the bag for me, only to be lost because someone put the brakes on my car.

It's not uncommon to make efforts to race "clean," yet somehow be forced into racing "dirty" by other players.

(all this is from the top of my head)

 

I had a good race - haven't raced in month's and I surprised everyone I would break in corners/no jamming or being a douche (rare in this game).

Played it clean and used a stock car to boot. Well done to those whom raced me as well. The challenge was always there. I had a well done 2nd - I'll take it. It was the full race around LS (forget the name now)

I gave up racing remember. This one made me take a second look. I thank a brother for hooking me up in this one. Could be a test but,I'm up for it.
