Impossible showing racing skills, we need drifting.

In GTA V Online, Racing it's mostly about the car you're driving, you won't be able to overrun an Entity with your Vacca, unless you're one fcking good driver and your opponent has no hands. Because let's face it, it's the truth. If you want a different example, a Penumbra will not beat a Coquette, and a Peyote it's not going to make a Monroe bite the dust. Well, I guess you know what I mean...

My point is : To make the racing experience more comfortable I think R* should have added special cars for drifting (and of course, racing tracks for drift, too). I am so tired of racing with my Vacca, Bullet, etc, and in every race 9 out of 10 cars are Entitys and Adders, and when it comes to a long straight race, it becomes impossible to beat them... Besides of that, most of them as soon as you let them behind, they ram into your car...

Anyway, to finish this I think R* must add this feature, so the real racers will show their skills.

Some of the cars that could be added for this purpose may be :

Supra, Skyline R34, Nissan Silvia S13, Mazda RX7, Corolla AE86 (Futo don't look like it..) Etc.

I'd love to see some of this cars drifting around, seriously.

I'm looking forward to read your opinion about this.

Oh, and by the way, before you start moaning about my thread, I know there are some races with a lot of curves, but most of them are not, and the ones who are, generally are in the desert and in sh*tty places where your car can perform well.

I just did this recently and it's actually really fun. The Futo slides around nicely.

I think it would help if they had actual race tracks instead of just using markers for turns to follow.

I've been drifting like this the last 2 days, It's awesome, I've become quite good at it, drifting full U-turns, and around blocks.

get used to the 'feel' of the car your driving. drive around flicking it side to side getting used to controlling the momentum, in the rain its a lot more fun. heavier rain seemed to be even better for flicking it around the blocks in gta driving simulator lol. i waste hours doing this. sometimes you really get a feel for it or do a similar route over and over flicking the arse of the car everywhere, braking as turning into the apex of corners and tapping the hand brake and playing with the acceleration and different speeds... the main thing is getting used to feeling the momentum and knowing how much you have to flick it before youre at the corner to slow down a bit sometimes meaning you dont need to use the brakes and to get the momentum to throw the car into the corner and finally being able to counter the 'in turn', to get the back end to throw around, and get the most speed possible/use all the road/not be screeching the tyres, cos in gta you have to be going a real decent speed to slide with out loosing to much speed... If youre going slow then you can use 1st and lots of hand brake to say, drift around a small area, which is quite often what the 'first stage' of practising descends into, as you are bound to spin out a lot when flicking a car around while traveling down a straight road and flying into alleys and bends and carparks and around cars in a crazy manner... lol

This is just what ive had fun doing, i always do this in gta and end up just mindlessly driving around getting a feel for it, usually listening to sh*t or watching sh*t at the same time as playing

Soran Is On

"I'm looking forward to your opinions"

First day here?

Lol races should be able to be locked to one vehicle.

On a side note about the entities adders, that's what catchup was for. But it's probably off a lot now. I don't race anymore.

FYI drifting isn't useful for racing, every second that your back wheels don't have full traction you're losing speed.

You're better off sticking a proper racing line and learning how accelerate out of corners properly.

It'd be interesting to be able to set up races with everyone using the same car I suppose. But I disagree that it's all about the car you're driving. True - you're definitely at a disadvantage if everyone else is in Entities (hehe, that's like tities), and you're in a Vacca. But driver skill is still very important. If it's not, then you're probably doing easy races that don't have enough technical difficulty.

The simpler races allow you to take most corners at nearly full speed. The more demanding races do need a lot of skill to achieve fast times though. Breaking efficiently, taking the right lines through corners, knowing which ones you can take at what speed and where there are hills that will throw you off, how much space you have to accelerate on the exits, all that kind of thing makes a massive difference. Then, while you're doing that, you can expect some half-tard to come ramming into the side of you and make it all a wasted effort. :D
