Drunken Cowboy
I've only seen this on the Steam EFLC thumbnail. What? Was the industrial strength umbrella cut from the game? A crowbar with a carpel-tunnel grip? A stick of dynamite with a really thick wick? Edited March 17, 2014 by Drunken Cowboy
018361
I am pretty sure it's a crow bar.

Ledsbourne
It's a crowbar wrapped in Trevor's intestines, a very sublime hint from Rockstar about how it should have really went. Drunken Cowboy, Gummy , universetwisters and 7 others
lol232
Looks like an umbrella to me On the serious side, it looks like Steam probably took the wrong artwork for the thumbnail.

universetwisters
I'm guessing it's some sort of crowbar or other tool used to pry things open. But then that raises the question of what the rag wrapped around it is for. Perhaps to conceal prints? We should take this to Rockstar. edit: better pic ...and when you compare it to the original and mirror it... Niobium
Probably the reason john is holding that crowbar thing and not a street sweeper is because some countries don't allow games to have guns in their artwork. But I'm just guessing, so I'm not actually sure. universetwisters

But I'm just guessing, so I'm not actually sure. I wouldn't deny that theory. I know Germany & Australia are kinda squirmy about that kind of stuff. I wonder if there's a full artwork version of it, though.

But I'm just guessing, so I'm not actually sure. Probably. The rag was just awkwardly crammed in there to make it fit to his hands. Germany doesn't even allow the slightest amount of gore in their games, I wonder how the handled the rest of the game...
universetwisters
...Germany doesn't even allow the slightest amount of gore in their games... That explains why there's at least a hundred of a dozen Simulator games that come out of Germany. Trillest

Drunken Cowboy
I think one company made some stupid f*cking simulator and it's just been one sick joke of trying to "out-stupid" one another with their sims... Ledsbourne
I've always wondered who the hell plays these simulators, shelves in shops here are filled with that sh*t. universetwisters
I think one company made some stupid f*cking simulator and it's just been one sick joke of trying to "out-stupid" one another with their sims... I used to have Train Simulator back when I was a wee little kid, mostly due to the fact I obsess over trains. But yeah, the mundaneness and triviality of the games they're popping out nowadays is bewildering me. At first, simulator games concerned jobs that not many people could get, such as being an engineer or a pilot. Nowadays, they have games for working construction and driving forklifts, even though nearly anyone with a proper license can do those. And it's come to my attention that they now have underwater photography simulators. All of my wat.
Peachrocks
That one is actually not THAT unreasonable. Would I play it? No but I could definitely understand the appeal. As for both of Drunken Cowboy's 'suggestions' all I can say is... Wait. Mind you a humorous version of the retail clerk simulator would be definitely worth playing. Games as a whole though are just lacking creativity in general. Or at least good types of creativity, silly gimmicks that take over the entire experience aren't original either.
