I hate being blown up by some dingleberry in a tank as much as the next person, but why do most people have to bitch about it here? There's like gazillions of threads about tank griefers. Wouldn't it be simpler to just start a new session, than become troll bait only to be blown up again and again?

Yeah, everyone says, "Find a new session"....but, what if I'm in a full lobby and a bunch of the people in the lobby are fun people, chatting, having a great time, until some child shows up in a tank, blowing people up, then talking sh*t (Yeah, bitch, what's up. You can't kill me"). I don't want to have to leave a great session that it's taken an hour just to find just to switch to a session with 2 other people who are AFK.

 

I don't mind the tanks myself. I just hate the people driving them talking smack like they're doing something amazing. ScubaDave being a prime example of these douchbags.

Instead of complaining, do something about it. Team up with a couple guys and all go off the radar. Couple guys sneak up and sticky bomb the crap outta him. When the detonate them proceed to hit them with a barrage of rpg rounds. I've seen and participated in it being done.

They act as if the tanks cannon was literally shoved up their ass. But with young age comes immaturity and with immaturity comes constant complaining. I'm sure by now that 99% of players have been killed by someone in a tank by now. I've been killed by tanks probably around 50 times or so. Did I make 50 threads about it? No. Did I make a single thread? No. Did I ever complain about it? No, I killed them at their own game.

 

By the way, you're complaining about complainers. See the issue there? Sorry to break it to you but you're on their level.

Tank griefers are dickheads trying to affect my gaming time. Complainers put some pressure on developers to get rid of them. So not a hard choice really.

 

There isn´t anything bad with complaining, it´s the way to change things that don´t work and that you can´t change yourself. Best example being the ammount of complains received by R* helped to get a no-slipstream environment to play with.

 

A tank greifer can ruin a good session. The worst thing a complainer can do is post redundant stuff, and I don´t get how having multiple threads on same issue could bother anyone. It´s not as if you were forced to click on them or anything.

You go outside and wave a knife around at any person you meet on the street, 90% of the times they are gonna freak out and run away/defend themeselves because they think you are a f*cking psycho, even if you are a sane person and you want to cause no harm.

Because of people who complain, there is a possibility that Rockstar could give us a counter to the tank. If no one ever complained, nothing would ever be done.Now does that mean Rockstar will ever do anything? Not sure, maybe not, but there is at least a slight chance when they know the fans have a problem with it.

Rockstar could address the issue by changing airstrikes. If there was a better way to select the region you wanted it dropped. Like, I dunno, setting where to drop it on your map, it'd be an effective neutralizer for the tank. Granted it's over 8k a shot but personally it'd be a small price to pay to shut the fool up.

 

PS What drives me nuts about tanks is that most the driver's are kids that cheated to pay for it. What makes me think that? Well I'd like to think most that were skilled enough to reach the ranks and capital required legitimately wouldn't want to use one. I see the tank as a means for someone with no skill wanting to feel like he's owning a session.
