DUNPHY

Recommended Posts

I dont know if its just cause I havent played in a couple days but it seems like Rooftop Rumble just got a decent amount harder all of a sudden? Anyone else notice?

I played earlier today and didn't notice a difference. But the way I play it there's no real chance of dying anyway. I can say for sure that there's the same amount of enemies though. At the parking lot I mean, don't know about the guys chasing you because I use a helicopter.

I've played RtR about 30 times in the last hour and a half.

Lost every single match.

I thought I just got a really good bag this time.... bummer

It does seems as I take more damage than usual. I normally start from the side and shoot everyone in the garage... Now the 2 guys in front sometimes comes to the side instead of waiting out front to be shot... I think they boosted the AI a few notches, it's no big difference it just takes a lil more time...

Well there are many ways to go this Mission, with teams or by yourself.

Basically how I do it.. I jump on the middle ledge and use the Special Carbine to take people out but im getting smoked on that ledge! Definitely have to take more cover from now on!

Yeah the cover system is there for a reason Rambo!

Also when you get the suitcase, STAY inside the carpark. No i'm not crazy, just take cover behind the wall, four cars come after you one after another (2 grunts per car "They got Mendoza!"). Then just drive casually to Martin's house. Extra rep too

Thing is you could easily "Rambo" it on that ledge before run in take the case run out and drive your car back no problem.. 16 out of 16 times pass no problem.. the AI is definitely harder! Not that much harder but enough for you to have to actually pay attention

Even if it were harder, how hard can shooting the three in the middle of the parking lot at the beginning (so the pkg doesn't take off), and then shooting the rest? In an hour on my own last night, I played this mission a BUNCH (on hard). Think I got hit a total of three times, and failed once. Only because I got trigger happy and blew too many cars up LOL!

I seem to noticed its harder when you do missions with other then going solo. Not the mission itself but the enemys seem more triggerhappy and hit better.

Just use the auto shotgun, I never go behind cover while shooting all the guys inside. I pop up, and don't let go of the trigger until everyone inside is dead. If you do it right, it literally takes about 3 seconds and I've had times where I've killed them all (except the 3 guys in front) and my extended mag still has about 16 rounds left in it. I'm not even exaggerating, it really is that quick. Just switch targets after each shot and don't let go of the trigger until everyone is dead. Only costs 48 dollars in ammo for the entire mission too. I don't stay and shoot the guys in the Grangers though, I just use a helicopter to get away.

Oh cool, take a look at my video on how to enter and exit a vehicle. I also have one that shows you how to walk.

Soran Is On

If the merryweather jackoff of a pilot would land in the t intersection instead of 1.not landing at all 2. Exploding 3. Landing 2 feet from the traffic light and destroying the rotors. The mission would be a snap. Instead mr.merryweather has an aneurism on the way down and f*cks up well laid plans.

The only thing about RR that gets me is whenever I play it seems like I can't get into a vehicle smoothly. For example if my car is parked in front of someone else's and I run up to my driver door when I hit enter for some dumb reason my character will run to the car behind it and try to get into that car. Or if there's no car around I have to hit enter a few times before he finally does. This doesn't happen to me in any other mission or Freemode...

You should call before you do anything else, right where you spawn. He lands it nicely almost every time. Sometimes he'll have the rotors hitting a light pole, in that case you have a pretty short time to get the chopper out of there. If you do the mission with the auto shotgun, you're usually fast enough to shoot all the guys and collect the documents before the blades break off though. I usually take the safer approach when that happens and move the chopper before going to collect the documents (after shooting all the guys).

If you can get a clear shot from where you are, it's also advisable to shoot the pilot before going to collect the documents, because sometimes shooting him will spook an NPC car that will run you over as you're getting in the helicopter.

Hanshot 420th

still easy as f*ck.

I start shooting right fromthe spawn point picking off all of the guys I can get from there and then triggering the yellow cylinder...still easy

mmm chocolate

I stand on the ledge, but the first thing I do is use a rocket launcher or war machine grenade on the professionals at the far side of the garage. When you take those four fools out, the rest are hella easy, and I keep my armor until next go.

No. I still do it solo under 3 minutes. RPG 3 cars, combat MG everyone else, speed through with my Jester (prefer this over my XF now) and quick delivery. It's not harder if you take out the 3 cars with an RPG.

Fail_At_GTA

It didn't seem any harder to me. I met some random people earlier who seemed really nice but they were lower ranks so I started up Rooftop Rumble for them. I didn't take any damage at all in the 5 or so times we played it (except when a truck spawned in front of me).

I don't even bother killing many.

Jump on the ledge, grenade the right SUV and while the guy with the package gets in a car, I get back in mine. I wait at the alley and when he leaves I shoot him in the back of the head. If you position yourself right you just get out and back in your car to get the package then drive to Martins ( not following the highlighted route).

2 minutes from spawn to delivery.

Edit: and the difficulty seemed the same, mainly because you don't get hit.

I've played on hard because the RP and Cash but once when I was playing it I got paid $37.500 and the others got paid $18.750. What's going on?
