Do you prefer auto-aim or free aim?

 

I like free aim because you can actually escape from people in cars instead of getting auto locked and killed. Also people in free aim seem to not kill you as much as auto aim people.

I love to free aim. But usually I join auto aim deathmatches so I can use free aim to my advantage from a distance.

I have always used free aim.

Hell, I have to buy the older GTA games on PC just because you cannot select free aim on consoles.

Doesn't really have to do with "skill" or anything, I just think lock on is less immersive, and I just prefer to control my aim.

I used to play free aim exclusively but I just got tired of waiting 10 minutes to find a lobby that wasn't empty. I'm in auto aim now because of how easy it is to find lobbies in almost all mission types.

 

If more people played free aim I'd definitely go back to it.

much much much prefer free aim, but sick of not being able to get into jobs/races with other players and my crew are a lot of fun and all play auto aim, so have to settle for it. if my crew aren't online and i know i only wanna kick about in free roam for a while, ill jump into free aim.

Its more typically - one side casual players, other side; try hard players.

 

I bet a lot of attempted run down in vehicles tend to happen in free aim, whereas in auto-aim a smart player generally knows better.

 

I haven't changed any of the default settings. That's why I play in "auto-aim" lobbies. I don't understand the auto aim vs free aim beef. You retards aren't even playing together. Seems free aimers are pissy because nobodies playing with them. Make some friends. Problem solved.

go to singleplayer, pause, go to settings and you should see an option for aiming mode. Now just pick free aim. You can't change the aiming if you're online, you have to do it from singleplayer. Edited March 14, 2014 by ChromeTurismo

Empty free aim servers. Hmm, never really had this issue excluding random server hiccups that clears the lobby, has happened to me in AA too so.

 

Free aiming in auto aim servers will give you advantage, the number of times people have rolled in the last half hour alone, thinking it will break my lock, then of course I'm the cheater haha.

 

Either way I don't really care anymore, I'll play whatever aim as I can free aim in whatever aim anyway so, meh I guess I just got to a point where I can't be bothered anymore.

 

In a nusthell, saints row did it right a long time ago, rendering every single "casual player" argument null and void. SR is only casual players haha.

Auto aim in this game, I believe they downgraded the system a bit because it's NOWHERE near as good as the one in Max Payne 3. Until they make a decent shooting system I'll use free aim more often.

I don't use free aim because my controller is messed up where I try to aim at someone, and it slightly turns in the other direction without me moving it.
