Random people sending Rooftop Rumble invites

Recommended Posts

Giantsgiants

A random person sends you an invite to Rooftop Rumble. This person is not your friend, and you don't know him at all. Do you still accept the invite?

Rooftop Rumble does pay good money, and doesn't take that long to complete. But there's that uncertainty when playing with randomers. Will everyone sit back and expect you to do all the work? Will there be a troll that will mess everything up?

What would you do? Would you join his lobby or not?

Accept sometimes. But sometime it ends up like today. Host just sit back.

Lucky I do Troll so I called up my buzzard and went real far of. Landed jumped out and run into the tail rotor. Instadeath and the guy who was just standing in the garage had to get it if he want the cash.

I often send invites for RR especially if there are low levels in the session who could use the RP and $. I stll work as I would if going solo. I shoot, grab and drive if Im closest. I dont care if they die as long as they try. I also joined alot of randoms and I never have experinced someone yet trying to sabotage on purpose. The only missions I avoid strangers is the one where its easy to blow up the objective for example in Titan of a job.

Exactly. Actually, come to think of it, I usually don't have problems with randoms during missions. A few of them try to kill you after the mission, but meh.

In free mode, however...ugh. I've died countless amounts of times to due random people and their lust for blood. Which I always return in creative ways, like oh, I don't know, crashing a Vestra right into their puny helicopter.

And Rooftop Rumble.

Throw in a grenade. Make the cars explode. You just destroyed the document.

Shoot the car in the middle. Car explode. You just destroyed the document.

etc.

I most have been very lucky then. ;)

Not anymore because I'm sick of it.

Before I grew tired of it, though, and ebfore every single random contact mission resulted in it, I'd often invite newbies along for a ridealong. I'd jump in a pub, and invite everyone under level 25.

Yes. I don't really have much friends that play GTA anymore, so when it comes to farming missions, I have to rely on random players.

But I don't mind it. Occasionally, I'll find some cool guys with mics and we'll keep playing together. Sometimes we don't even keep playing rooftop rumble, but will instead just keep voting for new missions on the voting screen. GTAO is a lot less repetitive and more fun that way anyways.

I'll join whenever. It just takes a couple of minutes and the others playing may actually need help. I run the mission the same way no matter how many people are there: shoot 2 guys to right, 1 guy to left, grenade into the back of the left door, walk in right door guns a blazing, get package, run into half a dozen drunken NPCs on the way to deliver.

Only had one griefer who kept crashing his car into mine and blocking me....so I drove around in circles, went into the LS River, waited awhile, then blew up myself with the package. Like hell I'm going to give that prick free money.

OP, are you all right? Just imagine, when you're starting job it's possible to invite everyone. You're not practicing it? I mean, come on! What's the danger? It's GTA Online, free roam is dangerous.

whenever I accept their invite, the game sends me onto a part of railway which is under the bridge and I see the host flying over me.I get in my car and run away.I'm serious

If I'm not doing anything else, I will accept.

I honestly think I must've been incredibly lucky with my time during missions with people I don't know. I have sent out (and received) about 30 invitations to this particular mission and not once I have I encountered a troll in it.

What I have experienced is a multitude of ways that different people play the mission, driving their own route to Martin's house, some stand on the hedges at the side of the lot to kill the security team, some who get the briefcase and wait around to shoot the 4 cars that come after you before driving an uninterrupted route to Martin's, some go in gung-ho at the front entrance...

Half the fun of missions is playing with people I don't know ... but like I said, I've yet to be trolled in a mission and I'm SURE my feelings will change once I have been!
