I might sound crazy or dumb posting this, but i just wanted to share. I'm 18 years old and i just started driving, yeah yeah I know. I'm late, but anyway. I'm still learning. When I drive around SA, I obey the traffic laws and drive like a normal citizen. Is it weird that i think its practice in a way? Am I the only one that drives normal when they play GTA? Lol

I drive normally, until someone crashes into me. :p

But if I need to speed up, I will do so. I mainly obey the traffic laws if I'm not in a rush.

Its a habit for me and I oddly do follow a lot of rules like how to merge, obeying stop lights and stop signs, slowly braking to a stop, and staying in the fast lane when I want to move at a quick pace when on the freeway. I do have some "fun" I guess, I occasionally drive hard like one would in real life; cornering hard and speeding when I have a lot of space in front of me. I do this in IV, Forza Horizon, and of course this game. Its just relaxing at times...

Well of course you do, you're a role model and a police officer, lol

When I roleplay with Michael or Trevor in their HP uniform, I always obey the traffic laws, until I have to give chase. Otherwise I don't bother, like if I'm on a rampage or I'm playing as Franklin. (Especially when he's on his bike)

I don't really follow traffic rules....Well, to an extent. I certainly don't stop at lights or stop signs, but I drive in the fast lane, I try to never run into cars, I don't like running into anying period, including peds, etc. But if there is something in my way like a Bus or tons of cars, of course I'll go on the opposite side of the road to avoid hitting them and then get back onto the proper side of the road...

Not at all, I do the same...I would practice it more often but sometimes those damn traffic lights can hold you up for 2 real life minutes

My police cruisers are faster than most cars in the game, but only if me or my officers drive it. ;)

I've been following the traffic laws in GTA ever since I got my first GTA game, Vice City. :)

Isn't that the truth, your officers even ram into me in my fully modded Turismo R. :sui:

I know why you're saying your police cars drive faster as the Cop Al handles like that. But I don't think you will beat my fully modded Unmarked Cruiser and Police Buffalo. Too bad the FIB Buffalo doesn't allow mods except for bulletproof tires, color change, and armor upgrade. But the Police Buffalo, Unmarked Cruiser, and Police Cruiser/Interceptor do. Lol

My first GTA was III. But I own them all and am at 100% completion, but my driving style has basically been the same in all the games; III, VC, SA, IV, and V.

I honestly try to make right turns most of the time at stop lights because those lights do take forever. They are much worse than IV's and additionally, Morning Wood has a lot of glitched stoplights that stay red 24/7.

This would be very boring to me,.

Its a fun alternative to speeding 24/7 in my opinion.

I follow the rules most of the time haha, but sometimes i like to let the pedal go, especially when the light turns green those lights do take long haha but then again i do it in real life, and i'm learning as well.

Why? It allows you to immerse yourself in the game world!

@Criss Our cars have that top secret technology, ;)

@Militia I still remember when I was first playing VC. I have been following traffic laws since then (most of the time :p).

At some point it's something every single person has tried in the series, it's actually pretty entertaining at times when you just want to relax or roleplay.

Well I did this when I was learning to drive. But now I have enough about obeying traffic rules on real life, so when I drive in GTA V I speed up the best I can and I run over people.

I don't know why... on Liberty City (GTA IV) I used to drive slow and obeying traffic rules, but now in LS I don't know why but I just can't do that

I do this too. If I'm the first one waiting at a stop light and it turns green, I often floor it.

I do drive normal at times, obey speeds rules etc. But do at times let lose on the airport run ways or the back roads. But I do drive normally 90% of the time.

Lol, it must be the ADD for me then, cuz I am ALWAYS in a rush. I still bearly run into signs, people, or cars (unless the back end fishtails, which does happen time to time) but I love driving as fast as possible since that will get me to where I am going quicker, obviously. I am not a real big gamer so I get a headache playing any game usually after a few hours, so my time is precious. Lol, that is why I just speed everywhere I go in GTA V.

It's pretty neat, imo, if you can drive top speeds (without F's ability) in a fully modded Super or Sports Car and actually dodge cars as they come at you. I love driving on the opposite side of the highway on my Bati 801RR and dodging everything that comes at me swirving in and out of traffic. I can usually go for a good 3-4 minutes which is a lot considering the highway basically ends within that time and you're in Sandy Shores already from Los Santos or vice versa.

Yea if I'm in a Sports car or Super car, I ALWAYS drive fast, driving slow in those just doesn't feel right.

I just speed through the traffic when driving in Sport or Super cars, while trying to avoid crashing. Same with Moto's.

I guess it could be fun for a while but I like to do things in the game that would get me killed or arrested in real life. Anybody like to drive fast into on coming traffic and try to see how many cars you can avoid hitting?

Copy/Pasting this from above, as I just said it:

It's even more annoying when you're in a police vehicle with the sirens on going down the highway, and instead of moving over into the right lane, some cars stay in the left lane and completely stop. Good job on causing your own death by me running into you from behind at full speed. If they do that and don't move over, they deserve to die.

I've noticed now that I use my Police Buffalo, FIB Buffalo, Police Riot, and Unmarked Cruiser that the traffic is actually WORSE than when your lights remain off. If you turn them on, be prepared to run into numerous cars as a lot of them don't get the f*ck out of the way. But there is a good majority who do move over way before you even come near them. NPC Driver Al certainly is wack.

I don't know why I can't help but drive slow at most times. I first remember doing so in IV. Maybe because it was so easy and comfortable to just cruise in that game. But yeah, I do this with just about every type of car, although I do like to takeoff on empty stretches of roads and on freeways more often when I'm in a high performance car. I kind of do what I would do in real life.

Well, since you dislike the Supers/Sports for the most part, maybe you're not "used" to how they accelerate and their top speed. Since it's all I own, after driving these around everywhere, I find that these don't even go that fast unless I activate F's special. Tbh, when you use F's special, the cars get out of control, even for me. I don't like his special all that much, tbh.

I also notice when I first got the game, I think UNMODDED Infernus' or Bullets or Coil Voltics, Adders, etc were fast as f*ck. When I modded them, I used to crash into everything as I couldn't handle the speed, lol. But once I got used to the map and started collecting and fully modding all the Supers and Sports cars in the game, I kinda got so used to it that I find that a fully modded Turismo R for instance still doesn't go as fast as I wish it would, lol

At this point, I gotta get in my Lazer as it's the fastest vehicle in GTA V, but it's an air vehicle and not a land/road vehicle.
