yea, mostly from BMX'ers that arent dumb enough to ride in public sessions without expecting to be run down, shot, and generally targetting...

 

but thats how it should be, its GTA, peopel have guns and drive cars... if you take a bmx into a public session, expect to be owned... if you want a quiet time riding, go invite only and invite some bmx'rs

 

 

personally i do both, i like riding my bmx in peace and jumping and stunting and other such funbies...

 

but sometime si like to see if i can get from one side of the downtown LSC to the other on my bike in less than 3 deaths.,...

What I normally do is to first quickly ride to one of the parks were bmx's can be found. I then leave mine, kind of hidden, and ride the one I have just found. Then if I am knocked off, blown up, the tyre's are punctured, someone steals it or I just lose that bike, I can request delivery of mine and carry on riding. 433 bmx bike miles so far.

drive yo ass to duh skate park far away from players

exactly, it's not like R* put tons of other things to do in GTA. it's only about shooting people and running them over in cars.

A friend and I were playing around in there for a while and nobody bothered us. Some dude came around to see what we were doing and let us grind and took some pics.

Ah yes the pv bmx... Fluorescent green paint, and green tire smoke on my bp tires... ahhhh ... The worst I had was some twat that blew me up with a tank while I was freestylin with my bmx minding my own business. He then added "get off that bmx little b**ch, you know who's baws" or something similar. Oh the idiots in tanks <3

I like how so many people act like they can omnipotently tell when another player is on a BMX.

 

"If you're on a bike you better watch out, I will find you" equates to "I have no life so I drive around looking for people on bikes" which must get boring.

They jealous. I know because they will watch you bike for a while, see what you do, then kill you on their way out because they aren't wanted in your spoke-gang. I make some good friends by calling up my bmx when i see a fellow biker, i think they are always stoked to see a bmx pop up instead of a gun. but i also killed some bikers like a douche before i understood how fun it was to stunt....

I'm glad I found this thread. For some reason BMX'n is like some infectious scent to other players. I don't understand. $800 on a two-wheeled stunt bicycle calls for that much attention hmm?

 

I had some guy.. or kid repeatedly blow up my BMX. Then he had the nerve to taunt me because I didn't have an Infernus. Lol ridiculous..

I was on my bmx at the park near the police station where the tanks spawn. I was doing jumps on the half-pipe, well falling off mostly. Minding my own business. Then a car rolls up and three guys get out to kill me. THREE. What was going through their minds. "it's gonna take all of us to kill this player on a small bike" When I respawned I did manage to blow their car with a RPG. Expensive, really wish I hadn't. Jacked a car and got away, there was 3 of them! Fine I was in a public lobby, so I'm fair game. I watch the map but I did miss them. My bad. But the interesting bit is I then get a message from one saying " I really respect players who BMX." Good grief.

it's pretty much impossible to stay alive in free roam for a long time, when on a bmx.

 

the challenge to survive a bike ride in the city can be fun, as others have said.

 

i find the best use for a bmx in free roam, however, is to provoke violence in an otherwise friendly (and therefore dull) session.
