next time you see someone glitching, just count to 15 & your game will freeze, & you'll be in a new lobby in about 5 minutes.

(this works even if nobody is glitching)

also: yesterday we tried to have our weekly crew meeting, & we couldn't keep more than 6 players in a private lobby. nobody was glitching. most of us were just standing around. i doubt this CC deal is the cause of the constant freeze ups.

All the items spawning in reminds me of playing GTA IV on the PC and everyone would spawn half pipes in the airport.

Those were some fun days

Lol lets blame modded and hackers, not the fact online is boring

Yes, let's blame the tools who are actually causing problems.

Typical lib, always someone elses fault.

it isnt, but most try to blame CC because its easier than to admit that rockstar messed up the game.

Kids are stealing candy, but it's not their fault... it's the store owner's fault for putting it out and tempting them!

or

Yes, she was violently attacked in the parking lot coming home from work, but seriously – look at what she was wearing!

So, you want to blame Rockstar because you think they "messed up the game" or because you think "online is boring?"

Yet, you don't even consider that the people doing these things online are even remotely responsible?

Wow. Just WOW.

The Game has always been about the cars for me, and without more space to store them, there's not much more to do.

I've never seen any CC props in Free Roam but I am crashing several times a day since the last patch. Never had it happen before except in the loading screen.

I've seen the CC glitch once and it was at a car show/meetup from Reddit (back when I was on /r/GTAV, what a waste of my time, but I digress.)

This waste of bandwidth and air joined a meetup, dropped a propane tank on the guys at the meet location, blowing up every car there (luckily my friend and I had already left the area when it happened) and causing some intense language and threats being slung around. To this day I still swear I heard someone saying they'd rip the guy's throat out if they ever saw him IRL.

IMO, anyone who does the CC glitch needs to be bricked (both their console and in their face). It wrecks the game in more ways than just being a general disturbance, as it bogs down the consoles' already weak hardware and causes the game to freeze/crash for everyone in the lobby/game.

Great thread fw3, it's a shame some people have to come here and toss sh*t at you for making a valid post that actually holds truth to it, instead of another chradder/tank/dirty racing thread.

Considering R* has allowed players more direct access to in-game assets by means of the race/DM editor im not surprised to see this happening. Just change lobbies or play with friends then email R* your screencap and the players ID after reporting them.

Not much else you can do. I don't think its the demise of online but certainly hope it doesn't become too frequent.

With all these threads about cheating players and blah blah it's unfair QQ hacked lobbies etc, report or capture your evidence, and leave/find new session, it's not hard!

First of all, where did I call myself an expert anywhere in my statement? Second, I don't need to have seen this glitch a million times to know what overloading 8 year old hardware that is already being stressed by a game that pushes it to its limits does. And of course, I know that it freezes peoples' consoles because they, I don't know, post about it on the forums I read when it happens? Freezing might be a common problem with GTA Online, but when 13 or so people in a party say they all froze at the same time because of that prop-spawner sh*tstain in the lobby, anyone with a basic knowledge of how consoles work (and how under-powered they are) can deduce that it wasn't just a run of the mill freeze.

Before you ask, yes, we all reported him, and moved on to a new invite-only session.

You have some good shots there. You should join the Weazel news team.

As for the invisible driver. They do exist. One of them gave my character a ride through the city in a Asterope and jumped over ramps that were spawning and then finally over a stunt jump into a house wher the car exploded sending fragments of my girl's corpse everywhere. It was Horrible!! :panic::panic::panic:

I told her not to get in that car.. But she never listens...

Despite how much I disrespect a player taking advantage of an exploit that intentionally affects the experience of other players, I do have to admit that the ramps were entertaining for a short while. Watching NPC cars go over them and their cars dropping on top of one another was pretty funny.

However, once the "god in the room" chose to box me in and "intentionally affect my experience," that's when I realized the potential for these chemical nuisances.

But still, ramps are fun. Except when placed badly. Like in Jump and Die. Horrible race.

FOLLOW-UP

So, I wrote the original post several months ago when the first "modders" began appearing online.

Now, on this forum, all I'm seeing are posts about modders, godmode, invincible cars, players being spawned to new locations, and even (ugh) a r∆pe mod.

The worst moments in GTA4 came when modders n' hacks broke the online multiplayer aspect of the game, rendering it virtually unplayable to any ideal standard.
We were all at the mercy of another person's crude efforts to cure boredom and feel empowered among strangers.

It's sad, but it seems like the state of the game today is looking very similar to those days of GTA4.

Tonight, I logged on and within moments I was staring at the arse end of a supercar shooting at me.
One RPG should have done the trick, but instead, it did nothing and I was dead, riddled with bullets.

My question for anyone interested in replying is simply, how do you think Rockstar/Take Two will handle this state of the game?
Will there be any substantial consequence for those players involved?
What measures, in your opinion, can be taken to counter this tampering?
Is it even "tampering?"
Lastly, what's the point of reporting someone anymore? Do you do it? Do you recommend it?

Just curious what others perspectives are, not on why it's happening, but what will be done about it.
With GTA4, nothing was done. I'd hate to see GTA5 suffer the same fate.

Cheers!

^ They don't care, T2 got their money the first week, anything else left to do with the game will just cost them money.

In less than a month and a few weeks, the PS4/X1/PC versions will be released and this game will quickly become an afterthought if serious action isn't taken.

This game has been on life-support for almost a year and money is tight. Only a matter of time before the plug is pulled and this game dies.

That glitch is actually fun to do, don't be butthurt if anyone trolls you with it lol, join another session if you can't stand someone else's fun lol.

They're having fun by making sure he doesn't have fun. If he wants to do that sh*t, he should do it in a private session.

gta online is dying. if rockstar doesnt release a update soon, modders will take over, legit players will stop due to boredom, and rockstar will lose money. if rockstar wont ban youtubers like domislive, icrazyteddy, and others, then we have already lost.

I don't know about you guys, The most fun I've had in GTA IV was when the modders came on. I was playing on Xbox, so modders weren't too common. I eventually modded GTA IV with script mods, and it was a really fun game at that point. (except the kids asking for modded cars) But it was still more fun than GTA V ever has been.

GTA V modding just doesn't seem enjoyable, and totally not worth it. this game's just kinda taking itself way to seriously, and the modders as of right now, don't get a ton of time to play with their toys, so they show them off, and kill a ton of people.
