Input lag

Does anyone else suffer from input lag on their TVs? I have a 48 LED and input lag is so bad if I try and shoot down a copter I can't aim at just the gunners like I just died because I couldn't take out the copter with out leading it but even then sh*t sucks.

Aiming at some one to just have your weapon move past him.. An game mode is actually the worst mode on the tv for games I have it on dynamic fixed.

Dynamic messes sh*t up because it constantly tries to adjust settings like b/w level and what not. Turn all the fancy stuff off and adjust the screen manually like the good ole days

I bought a new tv shortly after getting gtav. The scenery was too beautiful to play on an old 720 tv. I went for one with good gaming specs since the point of the upgrade was for playing a game. The difference was night and day. First thing I noticed was I can ride my motorcycle full speed without crashing. I can also sight people in before getting shot much easier.

Make sure to set the tv properly. Gaming mode is probably mostly to reduce input lag. Start there and adjust the picture settings. Here is a thread I found when I set mine up and it helped a lot with jagged edges in the distance.

And here is a couple sites with proper tv specs and reviews.

Game mode deoends on tv I guess. I own a samsung 46" f series and with game mode on the input lag is apparatly 23ms with one of those leo meter things. Without game mode its 46ms. Which is a little worse. But to honest the game mode isnt much worse. There an occasional minor difference in blacks but thats about it. Also I think my lag will be a little higher as it runs through a 5.1 receiver but I cant imagine that making much difference.

Those sites linked above are pretty good. Though I bought my tv based on a best gaming tvs article in a technology magazine

I play on a 720p 32" at the moment. But it looks pretty fine and dandy because the xbox runs native 720. The jaggies are still pretty clear and it's kinda choppy playing at 30ish fps.

Hopefully when VI comes out, we can expect much better realistic physics. And definitely only have one protagonist with a lot of interesting story characters. In V, very few characters

were truly memorable. Too much involvement with the authorities and not enough of the underworld.

Buy a monitor,

MONITORS ARE BETTER THAN TVs. Of course say bye bye to post-processing...
