Think about the troll I posted above and think about how many times I would have had to drop cars in the water to come up with that troll using a cargobob. I don't know why but when I see peoples PV's randomly left in obvious places I can't help myself. If there's a cargobob near I HAVE to pick up their cars and do something to them. It's like beyond me. f*ck I even steal peoples cars when they park outside a store while they're robbing the place. sh*t I'll even steal your car if you're in it!

 

Seriously I've done this more times than I can count. I'm a bad person.

 

But never have I been charged for it. Not a single time. However, I also never did anything else to the cars, I never got in them, never shot at them etc.... Just the cargobob, the car and the water.

actually since we're on topic of the impound and I was talking about a cargobob and we're now talking about trolling....

 

 

Here's a little tidbit you might enjoy.

 

When you take a car out of the impound with the cargobob the car itself is still considered in the pound since no one has gotten in it yet. Thus when you drop it off the person who's car it is will need to enter the car in order to be able to call it via the mechanic.

 

SO.... if you drop the car off say... on top of a skyscraper whoever owns the car will need to get up the skyscraper OR pay for the insurance to get their car back. There are lots of interesting spots to play around with this and I won't lie, it's a lot of fun.

 

If you want you can also drop the car in the water and destroy it and you won't have to pay for the insurance but what's the fun in that?

well MY fun at least mainly consists of the suffering of other people, so simply throwing the cars into the ocean is fun for me.

and if you put it on a skyscraper.... don't they just have to pay the 250 bucks at the impound and then call the mechanic?

if that isn't the case and they actually have to get the car, I'd just put it in the military base... 100% loss for the player... unless he goes there with a cargobob, but that's already a pain in the ass (but for you, too, so it's more fun to just wreck it by throwing it in the ocean)

As for paying the impound I'm not really sure.

 

What I do know is that your car will still be flagged as being in the pound if you don't get in the car. I know this because one time I cargobobed my own car out of the impound, flew it to my Alta St Parking lot and left it there figuring it was close to my apartment and I could just drive it in later if I felt like it. (I still had some hijinks planned with the chopper).

 

However later when I called it, I got the message that it was impounded, checked the map and I could see that it was actually at my apartment.

 

So I don't know if paying at the impound will unflag your car since you still haven't got in your car even though you paid to get in the pound. I'd have to test it out but I think the rule is if you didn't get in the car it's still gonna be marked as being in the pound.

I cant believe people actually still jump the fence to get their car out of impound, instead of simply walking to the gate and paying the fee without incident

exactly, it's only like $250 cash in hand, but last looked they never take the money. i always quick cash $500 when going to the impound, pay the $250 to get my vehicle out, but after doing this i still have $500 cash in hand, so your actually not paying anything to get your vehicle out. unless they patched it and i have not noticed.

My inner monologue just kept telling me, you'll get it out in a second.... the door will break off... or reverse at a proper angle... naw the doors gotta break off soon... maybe doing a burnout while holding the brake will spin it enough... why isn't that door coming off... ill just get in and out of the car he'll shut the door next time I get in...i'll just shoot the door off... why doesn't he just shut the door when he gets in... that door has to break now I'll get a 2 inch run at it and itll break off... ill try and enter from the rear so he doesn't open the door at all...FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...

 

Here's a metaphor:

it was like a challenge in that you could do a 100 piece puzzle if you spent enough time at it, or you could burn the puzzle pieces with a flame thrower and buy a picture of the finished product. I wanted to solve this puzzle this troll put in front of me that really didn't have a simple solution in the ways I tried. So I eventually just immolated myself and my Vacca out of pure frustration.

Got trolled hard last night, only 2 of us left in the session and after a little back and forth both our vehicles are impounded. He gets there first and proceeds to push my Vacca into the corner of the impound lot behind that one tree.

 

No biggie I thought, if I cant open the passenger door it'll just teleport me inside the car and Ill back out and be on my way...

 

I just miss him as he pulls out of the lot and drives away.

from my testing dropping a car in the water does cause insurance costs, even abandoning the whole chopper rig carrying the vehicle over water will cause liability. they might have called for a different vehicle while air lifting it which kinda ruins the fun.

NO! Using the cargobob does not cost you anything, the owner gets a message that his vehicle has been destroyed. If he calls Mors and pays the fee he gets car back.

 

If he calls for another car it will also be destroyed and disapear from the lot

Because you can't get any angle on it to push it out. You can only push it towards both walls. And as soon as you drive a car in the impound cops are on you

 

The only real way to do this troll easy is to have your car impounded too so you pay the fee and can drive inside the lot with no cop response.

Used this troll successfully earlier today. Rammed some guys elegy in behind that tree cops and a buddy were after him. He dicked around for about 20 seconds trying to just get in the car. Then when he did he couldn't back out any my friend cooked him. Haaaa. Love it. I'm not so sour about this screwing me now.
