I know we don't have to listen for footsteps. Do I need a high end one or would an average one not make much difference.

I'd imagine nothing would make a difference since you can't hear stuff like footsteps in Battlefield.

It's best to just go all out and get a high-end one though since it'll last longer. Not sure if you're on Xbox, but the Xbox mics suck, like, really bad, lol.

Yes, all Xbox mica suck tiny penises.

They're horrible.

Mine squeezes my head so much I have to take it off every 10 min, and the wire connecting L to R speaker is tighter than a PV FIB Buffalo.

90% of the time, people have terrible mics. Only on rare occasions have I been able to understand someone clearly. Shame my Plantronics ones I use for PC gaming doesn't work with it as that mic is clear as day.

There's a good and cheap turtle beach one if you just wanna use it for chat. And still use your tv/home cinema for sound.

how about using a 3,5mm jack to usb adapter?

from what I've read, the turtle beach ones would be the way to go... they're significantly cheaper and still provide you and other people with great sound qualitayy

i've heard people with the PS3-headset and it sounded alright.. a little background noise but not to bad. i have a tritton multi platform headset compatible with xbox, ps3 and pc. good quality for what it costs and it has a mic. mute switch and a good background noise filter.. i can recommend it.

sadly, it doesn't filter away the background noise of other players mics :whuh:

I have the Sony 7.1 virtual surround wireless headphones (not headset), expensive but mother of God, its beautiful, i am very sensitive to these damn things as they hurt my ears after an hour or 2 but this one is padded nicley and my ears never hurt, they last for around 8 hours, longer than any other i know of, it drowns your tv sound which is cool unlike these other rubbish mics and best off all is you can manipulate the game sound and/or the online player chat sound which i love, some guys are extremely loud or soft online, so all u do is adjust your headphones, it has a stereo option for direct sound really and then the virtual surround setting which i permanently use.

heres a link to what it looks like.

i have the original, i wouldnt buy it again:

-mic isnt very loud

-its empty after 5-6 hours and cant be used while charging,

-having the gamesound from the TV and the voice in the earpiece is totally working, but this thing in my ear irritates after a while,

next time i'd buy normal dual headphones with cable, ps4 controllers allow you to plug 'em in the controller, so for ps4 i'll do that...

its one of the big Gamescom 780s :D Airline Pilot headphones I like to call them :p thanks for the googling though :)nudies are a great blessing to the interwebs

Just had a look and apparently there is a way to get them working but they don't transmit game sounds, just voice chat so it would be quite awkward to hear the TV audio as well as wearing these

I bought the Turtle Beach PX5 cheap especially for GTAO because it's the first game I play online with me PS3, they have special settings for GTA.

Dunno if my next one will be a wireless again, I love the headset and I got rechargeablebatteries, I think that is a must with these things if you play a lot.

I just use a regular blue tooth ear piece I used for my old iPhone. You'll go deaf hearing police sirens, tanks and people screaming on their mic or people playing music. I have my chat set on crews and friends and some days they can really be annoying lol.
