So I just had this random idea about an alternative high priority vehicle mission through Simeon.

Here's how it would work: Lets say that RockStar changes the money system so that now a player's balance would go negative if they decided to destroy pv's or racked enough mechanic fee's.

Once their balance goes negative if they take a personal vehicle out of their garage the following things would happen:

-One they would have no control over their Vehicle Access Settings allowing everyone to enter.

-Two their car would be highlighted on the map as the High Priority Vehicle

This would allow other players could take the car from said person and bring it to Simeon's dock at the bottom of the map where they would be given however much the insurance cost is for the car plus $1000

For Example: A Declasse Voodoo costs $25 for insurance so if a player repossessed one they would be given $1,025

Once delivered the owner could either make a choice to let Simeon have the car and receive the sell value in order to pay off debts or work to pay off the debts and have it automatically placed back into their their garage.

If the personal vehicle is destroyed at anytime during the repossession (other than the owner) that the person responsible would have to pay the half of the resale value of the car.

For example: A fully modded Albany Washington will sell for about ≈$65,000

If this vehicle was being reposed at the time and player X destroyed then they would get charged $32,500

Thoughts?

Thoughts? yes as a matter of facts i have..

Your topic is that boring it has 17 vieuws and no replies.

i scrolled down right away without reading the first 5000 words and saw the conclussion of the guy destroying a hpv must pay for it..

Answer to that = no one is gonna lay his hand on a hpv ever again if that is going to happen.

Damn very bad idea son

All I think the HPV needs is more potential drop off locations, instead of just the shipping docks.

No.

But we could have vans full of drugs to deliver to Gerald in free roam, based on the same schematic of the HPV for Simeon. Or weapons to that guy (forgot his name >< from Rooftop Rumble) or electonic material to Lester etc

the hell is that supposed to mean. that doesn't mean boring topic, that means people read it and didnt answer.

Anyways, since when have people ever not been able to pay off the mechanic? I only ever had once, and that was because I spent all my money and ran out. Now I never run out.

I have to say, I have always been on board with the idea of going into the negative/going into debt. GTA San Andreas had the hitmen that would come after you right? I was hoping they'd at least bring it back for either singleplayer or GTA Online but I guess not this time around.

Repossessing people's personal vehicles does sound like it would be a pretty interesting mechanic, but I'm not so sure about the penalization. There is a need for money sinks in the game, though.

I like the idea of it, if you go into the negative you might consider not taking out your fully modded vehicles out when/if you are negative and stealing one off the streets; thereby increasing the chances of random bounties being placed...

I think a bit of tweaking or a few changes to what you described would fit better with game but as I said, repo'ing people's personal vehicles and going into debt sounds like it could make for some fun, crazy emergent gameplay.

Totally agree but would also like it to be a super every now and again with a inflated price like 50k or so.

If there is no way to tell unless you go to see it could make for some interesting times as long as the drop offs are randomized.

Personally I like the idea, it'd be an interesting way of keeping people in line, and finally an end to the 0 cash trolls.

The penalty would put an end to the mindset away of "If I can't have it, nobody can" that currently happens with Hpv. It also stops people from recklessly blowing up everything in sight.

Yep think this would be an easy fix to their mishaps while giving other players a side mission to do.

Maybe Simeon's dealership could be used as a drop-off point in some situations...
