We've come a long way - 5 months.

It's been 5 months since the release of Grand Theft Auto Online, wow.

 

What are some good and bad things that have come from this game?

What is Rockstar doing right and wrong?

 

Here is mine.

 

GTA

 

Good: From the release of GTAOnline till today, I still find this game pretty f*cking fun. Jets, Tanks, Cycling, Parachuting, Deathmatches, Races. What I love the most though is the misc features, such as being able to put bounties, being able to watch people on television, and the customization improvements from Grand Theft Auto IV. The creators are really good, can't wait until an expansion for missions.

 

Bad: Bugs have pretty much ruined the experienced for me several times. Before it was invisible cars, then it turned into invulnerable people, it can get pretty bad some times. With the latest patch the game froze up on me which is never fun. Since release a lot of the bugs have been patched, so that would be a good.

 

Rockstar

 

Right: After the release of GTAOnline, Rockstar could have just said "Here we created multiplayer, enjoy this, now we're going to work on our next game". Although they are probably working on a new game by now, it's pretty cool how after 5 months they are still around and providing patches/updates for GTAOnline. Rockstar's Social Club is wonderful, although it can be used for a lot of games I think one of my favorite features from it is the ability to share your photos that you took in-game with your friends. A lot of events are done for the community such as photos, and in-game events, which is wonderful and shows that they want to keep people playing, but...(look below)

 

Wrong: I feel like the community doesn't really have a voice in a lot of things (GTAO could make milestones if a lot of community suggestions were implemented), and we're left in the dark when it comes to really bad situations; when chars were being deleted I don't think it was handled properly, as well when people were purchasing cash cards and then it was disappearing from their banks. Everyone was given 500k, but what of those people that bought more. In terms of updates, it could be better, but hey, its free so one can debate that.
