What Car should I buy with 200k in GTA Online?

Elegy is a terrible investment.The best option is find a Sultan or use an Elegy(don't mod though) in freemode for a sports car, and save up and get a Turismo to race in super. Anything else is just personal preference.

 

Tha fak? Elegy a terrbile investment? My Elegy will smoke any of your Sportscars in a race, and it was 0$! (without mods, but still much cheaper with mods)

The turismo is an excellent super car to own as your first supercar if you're on a budget. Otherwise you're better off with an entity or an Adder depending on your driving style.

I bought the Vacca, I couldn't wait for the more expensive cars xD

 

but later on I regretted it a little... it was a cool car and all, but there are cooler ones Better save up for the Turismo you will be happier with it I think, even though it sucks to wait... but keep in mind: fully modding a car costs over 200k, too. Anyway, I still prefer an unmodded Turismo over a fully modded Vacca

Ignore this guy, you won't find either of those cars just driving around and even if you did, you can't mod them or put them in your garage.

 

If you want a fast car that's useful, I suggest the Felon. You can steal that off the street and they're frequently found in the more affluent areas of town. Modding it fully turns it into a real beast and I find that it handles and sounds great. Plus it has the added bonus of being a 4 door (don't get the GT version, as that's only 2 door) so you can have up to three other people in the car with you for missions. Also, it's cheap to replace if it gets blown up.

 

If you really want a supercar though, then the Vacca is a decent motor - I have one and like it. If you have more patience you could save up for an Infernus, or if you have lots of patience you could just save for a Turismo or Entity. Turismo is a great car and a good bit cheaper than the Entity, but the Entity is a tiny bit better.

 

Another fast option is the Elegy (free from one of the car shops via your phone), however once fully modded I found that it had crap brakes and understeers, so I ditched it.

Don't get any of them because you'll just fully upgrade them and then they will get destroyed or simply dissappear and be listed as "destroyed" when you call your mechanic and so you'll call merryweather and they will just ignore you and you will throw your controller across the room and it will probably break.

This was true with slot 1. Lost my fully modded Sanking XL but I didn't throw my controller b/c my kids were playing on the floor.... if they weren't there I would have needed a new TV and controller. The second time was in slot 5 with my Nemesis on my 2nd character. I barely found it so it wasn't modded but I just put insurance on it and it was destroyed after a tank blew me up as I exited LSC. Called MMI and no answer. I was like WTF?

i would suggest the grotti carbonizzare if u like to be fast for 190k

 

the bati 801 if u like to have money left and dont wanna pay too much insurance and be the fastest one. but u must be able to handle a bike. my first vehicle i put money into was a bike and i never regret it. its the most useful thing in the lower lvls....

Okay, i know you want that car real bad but you should definitely take the advise to save save save.....if you like being in Free Roam then make sure you are always robbing stores....my technique is as follows....Im a Rank 136, with 4.8 Million in teh bank and I still rob stores ( i do it to support my Meteorite and my Lester Reveal services addiction)

Here is my technique.....

I pick these three stores , the two in Chumash and the one across the way through Banham Canyon (its a gas station that you rob and then escape to the hills behind it). [Picture D] These three stores tend to be the best to rob since they are near one another.

 

I like the two stores in Chumash because if you look closely at the one near the Ammu-nation and clothing store, you can see that "brown" line (DIRT ROAD) that starts on the beach and goes all the way to Banham Canyon....well if you access that "dirt road" from the beach, you will be under the road overpass and is a great place to evade the helicopters once you get those 3-Stars wanted level. If the cops see you going that way, just drive up the dirt road until the cop blips disappear from the map where you came from and then drive back under that overpass, dont worry about the helicopter seeing you since once you get under that, it takes a moment for the helicopter to lose you.

 

Anyhow rinse and repeat and you can make some decent money when you are roaming Free Mode.

 

I'll start by robbing the Supermarket closest to ferris wheel and drive in the sand to that under pass to avoid the cops, then i drive a short ways to the second supermarket nearest to the underpass and then drive through the driveways onto the beach, under the pier and under the overpass and evade the cops. Also the supermarkets way up North in Blaine County also tend to net you 2K at times so don't waste those opportunities either.

Anyways explore all that and good luck.

Dont buy Comet or any sport class except Jester or Elegy. 200,000 is nothing so better save for super like Entity: bulletproof back and best handling.

Handling is everything, it will get you podiums and money in racings and it will save your life. Dont buy 'funny' controlled cars. It's not GT or Forza. There is shooting out there and chases. Your task is survive AND have fun. And its ~30 fps game so it doesnt matter how quick your reaction are, correcting a powerslide is ALWAYS a lottery. Believe me, i like to drive and know how to do it.

Try finding Ocelot F620 in invite only via Simeon request, it's free and quite unique looking. Try to SP-MP glitch It also.

You could just about afford a 9F...very nice car for the price and argumentatively the best sports car...plus it looks the business!

9f is far from best sport class. It's average. No reason to prefer 9f to Elegy when you're racing or short on money. Honestly, i will never trade Jester or Elegy in Sports on anything even now with more than 4 mil, full garage and all Pegasus i need.

Elegy is great and it doesn't cost a dollar to buy or insure, so it has some inherent bonuses. That being said, you could also get a Voltic or a Bullet in the super category. Personally, i'd save up and get a Turismo R for 500k.
