I found IO when R* nerfed the resale payments on my cars and "forced" me to start glitching them in from SP> I gotta say I love it, and now i really can't understand all the crying about Free Roam = death match.

Public lobbies are only good if I feel like wasting money, doing a bit of trolling and being spawn killed by unskilled halfwits. Invite Only is where the serious play happens.

 

 

If you start invite only you wont get job notifications except from friends online. You wont get randoms obviously. You will go back to io if you quit the lobby. Choosing freemode will put all players from that lobby in a freemode session together I think.

 

If you choose freemode from the voting screen you will be dumped back into your previous lobby. I've found that it's only if you quit some jobs from the joining screen that you get dumped into a public lobby.

I stick to invite only mostly, since PvP battles get monotonous after about 30min. Everybody has their own expectations, I didn't buy this particular game expecting an FPS, it's just cool that I have that option if the mood strikes, and I don't feel like throwing in Ghosts.

Only if you play alone, if you have friends that play (hence the "invite" part of the name), then it's quite fun. Just because you don't find it entertaining, doesn't mean everyone else does.
