I think the time you have to finish before getting a DNF should change depending on the length of the race. 30 seconds is fine if your doing two laps of Down the Drain but when you are doing ten laps of a long track the 30 seconds can be a bit tight. I imagine I would be pissed off if I did a twenty minute race only to get a DNF 50 meters from the finishing line. It should give you more time the longer a race is.

You do get something. You get paid out a percentage based on how many checkpoints you completed. You used to get nothing... I sometimes dnf so I know how frustrating it is to see that timer hit zero as you approach the finish line but how long should the rest of the lobby have to wait for us? 30 seconds from the point where half the field have finished isn't unreasonable and if there was no timer at all, some maggot would grief EVERY lobby by driving in circles just short of the finish line...

They troll like that in the parachute races, sometimes you'll get a guy who opens his chute doesn't even go through the checkpoints, and glides from one end of the map to the other. One race which normally ends in 2 minutes took 15 with that idiot sight seeing.

Think of it as a penalty for keeping other players waiting. Keep it as it is. How many people do you see where after the 1st corner they go off and then turn around to make the rest of the race miserable for the other players. Im not going to want to wait extra time for those knobs.

Its not like I'm that fussed either way tbh. But you can't wait one minute? (Plus the time between where you finished and the timer starting?) Really? When you've just finished a race of over 6 minutes? How about if the final bracket didn't kick in until 8 minutes? The timers could be 15 - 20 - 30 - 45....at <2 <4 <8 8+....
