Assult Rifle ammo gone?

This has happened twice now. Today it got me killed at Fort Z. Somehow all my ammo for Assult and Carbine rifle resets to 0. Is this a bug or is there something I don't know?

How much ammo do you buy at a time? You realize when you die with a weapon you lose a small amount of ammo for it.

Was you playing forced weapon pick-up deathmatches?

 

You lose all your ammo sometimes.
