Geralt of Rivia
This War Of Mine is a game that adds a new dimension to the war genre. Instead of being a soldier, killing bad guys and saving the world, you're a civilian; fending for yourself and trying to stay alive. From the description of the trailer: This War Of Mine is a game that provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle. For the very first time you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city. During the day snipers outside stop you from leaving your refuge, so you need to focus on maintaining your hideout. At night you get a chance to scavenge nearby locations for items that will help you stay alive. Make life-and-death decisions driven by your conscience. Try to protect everybody from your shelter or sacrifice some of them to endure the hardships. During war, there are no good or bad decisions; there is only survival. The sooner you realize that, the better. And their website: http://www.11bitstudios.com/games/16/this-war-of-mine I searched back 4 pages, and didn't see a topic about this, but if there is one, I'm sorry Edited March 13, 2014 by TheMasterfocker Adler, Django Fett, na89340qv0n34b09q340 and 3 others
Th3MaN1
Jesus, that was beautiful. Quite an interesting idea, being able to see things from a different perspective. I just hope they do something new gameplay-wise too. Geralt of Rivia
RoadRunner71
Really interesting, I hope this doesn't turn into another generic FPS. Can't wait to get some info regarding the gameplay. Geralt of Rivia
Geralt of Rivia
If they do this right, it could definitely become one of the best games of the year. The question is whether or not they can do it right though. I really hope they can, as the idea is new and interesting. Th3MaN1
Cosmic Gypsy
Me and my friends have wanted a game like this for ages now, a war game where you play as a civilian. Me and my mate were thinking open world, survival, scavenge, stealth and tactics, maybe even the possibility of being taken prisoner and sent to a camp, so many possibilities. This trailer looks very intriguing, very nice looking, unique. Weather it's free roam or not i'm very excited. Geralt of Rivia

Cosmic Gypsy
Imagine the panic you'd feel as an unarmed civilian when you witness a load of enemies making their way towards you in their tanks and vehicles. Or imagine just hiding out somewhere laying low then suddenly your on the front line with little options. I should probably stop imagining now to not hype myself up too much. Edit: Their other games seem a bit strange to be honest. Edited March 17, 2014 by Cosmic Gypsy RoadRunner71
uNi
Not that it means much these days, but it does sound promising.

You've just reminded me this cutscene of World in Conflict, when the Soviet Airborne is being deployed in Seattle. I really hope this project doesn't turn out in another let down; I know it's early to say anything but lately the gaming industry has me really disappointed... Cosmic Gypsy
That World In Conflict scene looks mental! This War Of Mine on closer inspection is probably a mobile game which i didn't plan on finding out. I just got all excited thinking it was Old or Next gen haha. D- Ice
The concept sounds incredible. It's truely a unique and completely original idea - a great break from the dime-a-dozen, generic, and unimaginative FPS shooters where you're always a NATO country soldier defending the world from one-dimensional malevolence. I can only imagine this game working if it's completely free-roam, which is what I'm hoping for. I know this might sound like it flies in the face of everything I've said, but I wonder f you have the option of picking up a gun and fighting? It doesn't have to be an FPS-style game, just having weapons as an option with more realistic consequences - i.e. If you blatantly start shooting the soldiers without stealth, they'll target you and you won't last long. iNero
Well, since they wont have weapons, I ask myself, what will you do in this game? Hiding? find food?

iNero
For some reason it reminds me of Cloverfield i wish there would be a game with a cloverfield setting. A survival game. Some aliens (or whatever they were) appear and yot have no info about it, You are just with your friends and try to survive in the city. During that, you get some info from others, but not many so that there are always open questions. At the end of the game you get told where those things came from and it will blow your mind, Edited March 18, 2014 by iNero
