What's with the absence of mature adult players?

I think I notice more peeps acting like kids on this forum than I notice kids in the game..

I turn the game chat off. I don't wish to hear random babble, kinda ruin the experience.. I Just do private chat or text..

Very true, I think it'd be more accurate to say there's a lot of players that sound like African American gangster stereotypes. I hate hearing the "n" word whether it's lamar, genuine black players or racist turds.

I've heard all the justifications around taking it back, but I don't think you can take back something you never owned, it was used to reduce people to a trade commodity and that will take some forgetting or sanitising. I think we should leave it to the racists so we know who to beat senseless.

Actually, they do. Maybe not in these days. But when I was a kid, I had chores, schoolwork, and playing outside to do. Those were my responsibilities. Now it's just college-work and sports.

I had forty head of beef cattle to clean out, feed, inject with medicine if they were poorly, fodder to fetch up to the farm with a tractor, and fences to check from about 12. Probably why I was fit to be trusted with a firearm in my teens!

Most adults who play GTA, or video games of any type are more often than not casual gamers. Its kids that play the most for extended periods of time and feel the need to flap their lips for everyone to hear because in their minds, they are convinced people want to hear them speak.

OP - I can understand your reluctance to play GTAO with immature children. But if you sat down for a minute and engaged your brain you would realise that when a VIDEO GAME sells circa 33 million copies it is reasonable to assume that a good proportion was bought buy teenagers and 20 some-things.

 

However, I would like to know what your issue is with adult black players?

 

I'm a black adult (40+) and would not leave a session because it was filled with white 19yr olds. I instead embrace the concept of online gaming and welcome the chance to enjoying this with people of all ages, ethnicities and cultures.

 

I have a 16yr old Daughter who does not play VIDEO GAMES but likes movies and TV which is also filled with hookers, rape, cop-killing, etc. I can only trust that I am bringing her up to be able to discern right-from-wrong and to become a good adult who has respect for herself and others.

Seriously, what is with the absence of mature adult players and a rather abundance of immature children, adults (which I hate to be racist but are usually black, it's quite obvious by how they speak and sound)

Is there seriously a reason for this? It seems everyone I meet on GTAO is a child and kills me. When I meet a nice player and invite them to a party? They're 12 or 13. Have only once recently met a mature adult, and he is rarely on. (Maybe once a week, and when he is on, I'm not on)

It's kind of depressing, to learn you are playing amongst children on a game where you can get a hooker, rape people, murder innocents and cops, and do everything that would basically cause you to go to jail for the rest of your life (IE: Crash a crop duster into a cargo jet and then crash the cargo jet)

 

I swear, even Battlefield is being taken over by kids, I remember when it never had kids!

But on a serious note, I'm 16 and I think I'm pretty mature for my age. Actually, the adults that I hear over the mic are more of the sh*t talkers than the kids. Love it when adults act like kids talking about their K/D and they claim to "kill" your family.

Im 13 but I'm actually mature and i have adult friends that are on on a regular basis and there a higher rank then me but we just kill for fun and laughs not for just no reason.

Maybe in 15 years you'll find majority 30-40 year olds playing GTA, but most of todays mature adults unless hardcore gamers (i think rare) don't play current gen video games. Let alone a free roam game. Sports titles are generally the only ones "mature adults" play.

Rockstar forgot that mature gamers don't give a f*ck about owning a chrome adder or having other fancy cars in a garage in a game, mature gamers for the most part, play for fun. The game hasn't been that fun. Lobbies are empty in free aim, connection issues, ridiculous in game economy, lack of different modes and of course way too many kids playing the game.

The point is - get a crew full of people you like. Then do play lists and have a laugh.

 

This way you can enjoy the game and not have to put up with the idiots of this world.

Plus, I don't understand the 'persons colour' argument. But I guess I had a childhood and education mixing with people of every colour and nationality.

 

Maybe some of these kids (and adults) need to go out into the real world first - Before being involved in an online game that includes people from most parts of the world.
