What's with the absence of mature adult players?

Seriously, what is with the absence of mature adult players and a rather abundance of immature children, adults (which I hate to be racist but are usually black, it's quite obvious by how they speak and sound)

Is there seriously a reason for this? It seems everyone I meet on GTAO is a child and kills me. When I meet a nice player and invite them to a party? They're 12 or 13. Have only once recently met a mature adult, and he is rarely on. (Maybe once a week, and when he is on, I'm not on)

It's kind of depressing, to learn you are playing amongst children on a game where you can get a hooker, rape people, murder innocents and cops, and do everything that would basically cause you to go to jail for the rest of your life (IE: Crash a crop duster into a cargo jet and then crash the cargo jet)

 

I swear, even Battlefield is being taken over by kids, I remember when it never had kids!

 

Oh where oh where has the good days gone? Cartoons on TV are sh*t. And video games have been overrun with kids. Oh where oh where could they be....

 

 

That's because the older gamers who typically work a 40hr ( or more) week job don't have time during the week. So I'd be willing to bet the best time you'll find old fogeys like myself online are on the weekends.

 

I'm also willing to bet most of the mature gamers play Invite only and/or solo because they don't want to deal with the stupid sh*t online. But solution is quite simple really.

 

1. Join a mature 25+ year old crew. There are a few crews out there with older players 30+. But these folks typically play weekends/ late evenings due to work constraints.

 

2. Join a smaller crew of mature gamers basically ppl you know you can trust. Joining one of those 1000+ crews are a complete waste of time IMO

 

3. Get to know other players who play from different countries or time zones. What times and days are you going online typically? If you're in PST zone, you have a better chance of meeting ppl other countries. I've met Aussies, Brits, Kiwis, Europeans etc. depending on what times I go online. I've usually found players from other countries to be very social unlike US teens and tweens who spew the N word every 2 seconds or so. I've come to see manners and vulgarities as a cultural thing centric to the US I guess.

 

Anyhow, if you're here in the US, you're more likely to meet the anti social gamers if you're typically logging on during the afternoons. Because that's right about when the chradder retards ass hats typically get out of school.

Agreed 110% but were out here. I always play in invite only sessions to spare myself of the annoying kids and modders. I really just want a dependable, tactical, and efficient team to do missions with. If your on ps3 feel free to give me a shout if you like doing missions and cruising OP.

Well, what can we do?

I play GTA with my 10 year old son sometimes. We play in party chat so he doesn't get to hear other peoples language (I personally think the NPCs swear too much too but I choose to let him play so I guess that's my bad). Our entire play time seems to consist of jumping cars into the military base to steal jets, crashing them eventually and going back for another. He knows he isn't allowed to copy the language, and that he has to "do unto others" when it comes to other players in free roam.

 

I know this doesn't really add to the thread, but I think the game just reflects reality in that respect, there's a lot of kids out there with no manners. Adults too. The internet lets them act up without being pulled up for it.

I will post a bit though, a few repetitive posts I've seen.

 

1) I play at night during the week, no time else. Weekends I guess it is just when I'm not busy.

 

2) I am way too young to have kids, age 19. Am not thinking of having kids at least until after college, married, and have a house. (but no, i'm not one of those catholics who say "No sex until marriage", I'm not even religious)

 

3)I am on xbox so I cannot play with you PS3 players

 

4) I am a nice player, I won't kill other players unless they kill me more than once. The first time I will ask why. Or I will kill them if they have a bounty, or are killing crew members or my friends or another player repetitively.

Cartoons are definitely for kids, do you remember the episode where tom and jerry committed suicide or jesse and james had really big tits even though one of them was a guy? lol

Actually, I used to have a PS3, and have played it recently. Now I have xbox, but There are more hardcore players and more children on ps3, xbox still has a lot of children though. Only a few hardcore players.

Actually, they do. Maybe not in these days. But when I was a kid, I had chores, schoolwork, and playing outside to do. Those were my responsibilities. Now it's just college-work and sports.

What I mentioned about that kid who mouthed off to me, I went to his parents, and you get the usual song and dance, " Oh my Jimmy is an angel he would never say such things ".

Every kid got out of hand but I think the difference is online there is no accountability for what you do or say. They are not afraid because you are not in their face.

 

I heard a conversation one day between a squeaker and older guy he was asking for money. If you did not know it was GTA it sounded like the guy was trying to molest him. Talked about meeting him at out the mountains and he would show him stuff, got all excited sounding. Seriously creepy.

 

As for the ghetto thing, that is what much of GTA is based on. It attracts a lot of ghetto people. And angry people.

our crew has all ages and we are mature players. we only kill bounties and do all the missions, not just the big RP/payouts.
