What's with the absence of mature adult players?

Unfortunately my wife is a cop, I'm 220 lbs, as much as I would've loved to throw his little ass airborne down my block. The repercussions of that would be a massive lawsuit on my lap. Trust me man I wasn't as nice as you think I was with his parents. But I tried to be as civil as I could as an example for my daughter. I'm no good to her sitting in jail.

As I said in my day you'd get your little ass handed to you and rightfully so. Nowadays you can't even spank a child, without worry about committing a felony, and that's why these kids run amok. It is way worse then it was 20 yrs ago when I was a child. Even my own parents can confirm that one.

Is there seriously a reason for this? It seems everyone I meet on GTAO is a child and kills me. When I meet a nice player and invite them to a party? They're 12 or 13. Have only once recently met a mature adult, and he is rarely on. (Maybe once a week, and when he is on, I'm not on)

It's kind of depressing, to learn you are playing amongst children on a game where you can get a hooker, rape people, murder innocents and cops, and do everything that would basically cause you to go to jail for the rest of your life (IE: Crash a crop duster into a cargo jet and then crash the cargo jet)

 

I swear, even Battlefield is being taken over by kids, I remember when it never had kids!

 

Oh where oh where has the good days gone? Cartoons on TV are sh*t. And video games have been overrun with kids. Oh where oh where could they be....

A few days back i heard this little kid about 5 or so making odd sounds on the mic and bugged the crap out of everyone with this annoyingly loud pinchy laughter and saying everyone where a bunche of fags with this kiddy voice, with her heavy breating father in the back laughing to.

 

Worst thing ever(even worse than music blaring) is when they breathe/blow into the mic repeatedly.

I get what you mean, it's really sad to be talking to a friend on mic and then you randomly hear a voice resembling mickey mouse or justin bieber try to talk sh*t to you. My naturally instinct is to scare them off by acting gay.

In my day you wouldn't even think about disrespecting elders no matter how old on any level, or you would get your little ass handed to you. These kids do not care today, and it's the liberal parents to blame. We play in party chat so he doesn't get to hear other peoples language (I personally think the NPCs swear too much too but I choose to let him play so I guess that's my bad). Our entire play time seems to consist of jumping cars into the military base to steal jets, crashing them eventually and going back for another. He knows he isn't allowed to copy the language, and that he has to "do unto others" when it comes to other players in free roam.

 

I know this doesn't really add to the thread, but I think the game just reflects reality in that respect, there's a lot of kids out there with no manners. Adults too. The internet lets them act up without being pulled up for it.

i dont see that as terrible because you are monitoring his behavior while he plays and controlling what he does.

if he was running amok mother f'ing grown men, hitting pretend bongs picking up the coke in missions ect thats a diff story.

u might be the only parent who monitors the kids playing..

Them's were the days. I still remember having to stand on a bus when I must have been 4 or 5 so someone my Mum knew could sit next to her. Kids don't have no respect for their elders these days. Damn, I'm old.

If I had a young kid that wanted to play GTA, this would be my approach. "You can watch, but if you repeat anything vulgar you're done," is how my parents eased me in to R-rated movies when I was young - the first was The Silence of the Lambs. I didn't sleep for days after that.

To be fair there are a lot of "black"(at least I hope they are) people running around killing anyone they can(not usually many) screaming racial slurs(N**** this N*** that etc). There are also some rather mouthy "white" kids that are just as bad. I don't think SnyderGuy was truly being racist.

The foul mouths come from all walks of life, doesn't matter what color or or nationality. The end result is those children who act like that are nothing more than a product of their environment. Whether they get it from their friends, or what they listen to or see at home, and get away with.

I once made a friend named dea38063 or some sh*t like that. Him and I became good friends as he wasn't a facken little kid. but im with you on this. That's why theres the group and meetups page. I belive theres a group of guys serious enough to re create seal team six special ops missions and sh*t..... That might be mature enough for ya lol

Sorry. If a guy sounds like Barry White, talking like a G, and throwing the N word around.....I would jump to that conclusion too. If you want to get down to it, voice tone is different in seperate races. Generally. Perhaps due to native languages. What do you think?

I met a 12 year old the other nite. Seemed like a nice enough kid but I couldnt get over the fact that he should NOT be playing.

 

I felt bad for not continuing to play, because he didn't swear or nothing, and actually was just trying to have some fun with his cargobob. He was British too, which made him seem as harmless as a moth. He was with another kid too, sounded like 7 or 8 at the most. They were all like trying to roleplay crew stuff and whatnot...
