Own both platforms, bought Ps3 mainly for exclusive games, esp. Metal Gear and GranTurismo.. I do prefer the Xbox controller though. Its pretty much 50/50 between my friends.

I play on PS3 and I've never owned an Xbox.

 

The only reason is that i didn't want to pay to play online when there was a free option.

Xbox because the people who got PS3 for free online annoy me since they usually act like $60 is so much money yet they can buy like 20, $60 games a year.

 

For real though sounds like you should get a PS3 since your IRL friends play it. 55 levels isn't much, especially if you feel like farming Rooftop Rumble like everyone and their mother does now.

I have a 360 and a PS3, only have GTAV on PS3 though. All I can say is that I've had a much better gaming experience in general after I switched over to Sony. My 360 broke three times (new ones are probably finally reliable) which was when I decided to buy a PS3. I bought a launch 80 GB one that finally died on me last summer and bought a new 160 GB one and have had no problems with it. I appreciate the fact that 1) online is free for PS3 and 2) Sony won't ban me because I call someone an "idiot." Microsoft has way too many limitations on their customers' actions and speech for me to give them any more of my money. Plus, I hated how there was always some hidden charge with the 360. Wanna play online? Pay $60 for Gold, but wait, you've also gotta spend $100 if you want your 360 to be on a wireless connection.

If you're fine with paying for online, being policed for your actions and words, then the 360 may not be a bad choice. Just go with where your friends are. Otherwise, PS3 all the way.

heck, even the bugs are - as far as I know - all the same

 

I would look that I and my RL friends have the same console, it's more fun to play with them...

 

but if you have an xbox360 already... why do you even think about buying the ps3?

 

you could save the money and buy the next gen consoles when you don't want to play gta v anymore... be it xbox 1 or ps4 (while ps4 is about 10 times better than xbox1 but everyone knows that, right?)

I would have to say, comically of course, whatever system I use to play it on. I haven't had much experience with the PSN platform, but after talking to tons of people I've found that the PSN guys seem to have a little more fun than us xBox guys. I have no idea why, even though I used to be a PS fanboy.

Hackers, huh? I haven't seen one and I've been established on the game for a while now. The only "hackers" were the people that gave away money. Mind you, that happened on both consoles, and that was several months ago. Rockstar have patched it up and it's highly unlikely to happen again.

 

PS3 is far better. More mature players, and nearly everything is free. You don't need silly batteries for controllers, and the console is fairly light.

Microsoft doesn't ban people for talking sh*t either. No clue what you're going on about. The file report system is pretty much useless so you can talk all the crap you like on Xbox and Microsoft doesn't do a thing

 

Both communities suck on both systems. I even bought Killzone Mercenary for PS Vita and 95% of the community plays like douches.

 

Rocket launchers everywhere.

 

My Xbox is old as f*ck and has only broke down once and Microsoft fixed it for free for me.

I only own it on PS3 and runs wonderfully, however im not gonna bad mouth the performance on xbox cause honestly i dont know what its like

 

However, if it wasnt for the size of the xbox disc at 7.96gb when using dual layer disc they would have been able to do and probably put alot more into the game. The current PS3 discs run at 25gb and 50gb when using a dual layer. Had the game be produced solely for the PS3 im sure they would have been able to include places like Las Venturas and San Fierro straight from the beginning. And i believe somewhere the developers even mentioned that the xbox had caused them to limit the games possibilities from the start

 

But this is all talking out of my ass and just my take on it I have no beef with it either way
