Which platform is best for GTA O ?

Hello, firstly, I got to say - I'm not here to start a console war. So here is my problem.

 

Since November I haven't played GTA V. I'm thinking about a return on Xbox 360 because I made friends right there and got my account with achievements, stats and everything. 500k and 55th level sounds nice, but PS3 offers free online multiplayer.. I'm confused.. By the way I already have real life friends who plays on PS3..

 

Another thing - updates. Which platform gets updates faster ?

 

Controller. I just love xbox 360 controller, but playstation is classic..

Sounds like you should go with the PS3, if you have friends already there and you don't mind the controller, plus online is free. (Everything as you stated)

 

Personally I prefer the Xbox but I couldn't give you any reasons why to pick it over the PS3 (besides playing with my kids on Xbox).

 

Additionally, it seems like a high percentage of this forum is on PS3.

 

Don't think you can go wrong with either one, but in your case the PS3 seems to have advantages.

Xbox seems to get updates faster but thats just because Sony is probably the slowest company in the history of forever to approve patches and such.

Xbox may get updated faster, but you're talking hours at the most so don't let that effect your decision.

Also PSN may be free, but the XBL annual fee is minimal so no winner there either.

If your RL mates are on PSN though only one choice as far as I can see, although only if they're going to be playing regularly.

But seriously, I'd say play on whatever console your friends play on, that's what's most important.

Neither, it comes down to player's choice on which to use but based on this site, I'd say most play on Ps3. Just go look at the no. of duping pages on the ps3, almost doubled the amount of pages the 360 has!(just realised the original 360 duping thread was axed)

First off, I own and love both the Xbox 360 and a PS3 (in fact, I plan on buying both an Xbox 1 and a PS4 in a week or so as well) so I'm not playing favorites, or the whole brand loyalty crap (both systems are good in their own way, and both have quality games that I enjoy). I picked Xbox 360 for one simple reason. Less full blown hackers (not glitchers, hackers, the ones that mod things, not just exploit ingame glitches). Yes, hackers do exist for both systems, but the PS3 seems easier to hack, and if they get banned they just make a new free account, where as XBox has the whole added paid for account (or at the very least they would have to hunt down free months, which is more work than just entering a new name and email for PS3). I have seen this first hand, I play GTA Online all the time on Xbox, and I do see hackers on Xbox in freeroam, but I know people who have PS3, and have watched them play for hours, and it seems to me that hackers are way more rampant on that system.

In my opinion, PS3 has less squickers and kids playing, but Xbox gets the updates first.

Pc version is superior in many ways. First we can have 32 players in one session. I don't get what you mean by gets the updates faster. They can't even function without the patch on Online. And they're always out when R* advertises it so yeah. When I played GTA:O on my friends xbox I did tend to hear more kids/people compared to my PS3

Go with the console with friends that you are closer with. If you're closer to your Xbox friends, use your Xbox. If you're closer to your PS3 friends, use your PS3. If money is an issue, use your PS3.

 

Protip: Never, ever, under any circumstances make a thread that has to do with consoles or PC. 99.9% chance it will get locked because of pointless and pathetic flame wars.

I have a Ps3 and I enjoy it. But when you open the XMB mid-game (Middle button) the things you do lags a lot (Sending messages, opening and closing the xmb, deleting friends)

 

I'd say GTA is better on Xbox cuz there's probably none of that Xbox Guide lag (I have no experience though) and you might meet more cool people.

 

But if you're a cheater and you get banned/cheater pooled, ho boy.. be ready to have your gold wasted LOL
