What´s SO hard to code about headgear?

They just can´t get it right. Cornrow bug, bald when using certain masks bug, losing helmets and hats inside cars bug (only for male characters now ¿?).

And to make it worse, this update brought a new bug: hair clipping with certain hats. And you know the best part? This didn´t ever happen before. I just don´t know what the hell can be so hard to get right about this.

It's just as hard to code anything with anything, a game where you can make your guy look however you want (well, close) and have whatever outfit will have this. You seriously need to learn some coding, dude. In fact, every thing is just as hard to code as the next thing. Because every time you fix a bug, add new content, remove content, update content, or whatever, you have to go through ALL of it again just to look for a tiny little error. Very hard to do. You must also think of exploits where the coding allows it because two things coincide with each other and it is not a bug at all, but it breaks the game.

Tali vas Normandy

Let's not also forget the Christmas head gear glitching with OTHER DLC items when worn.

But honestly I don't blame then. Coding is a difficult thing to get down.

Because, really, I went to college for 4 years to learn how to code. Imagine if you got misdiagnosed by a doctor, confronted him about it, and he responded, "Well, doctoring is hard, man. Why don't you give it a go and see what it's like?"

They went to the effort of fixing the baldness bug (at least, i think they did, right?) and didn't think to try other items of clothing on afterwards to see if they produced similar errors. I think that's what upsets people more. No need for all this "oh but coding is hard, YOU GO DO IT THEN!" bullcrap, sure it's hard, but the fact a similar error has taken its place is a sign of how much they rushed the process.

Some people are never satisfied. I don't think any of these (other than the cornrows) are actual bugs.

Non-issue after non-issue.

I'd be more concerned about cars disappearing from the insurance glitch.

How often do you change your headgear?

Oh wait, is it another monkeyface??.

I hate those stupid masks. If you need a silly mask to lose a star. Learn how to be a better wheelman or woman..

what a horrible attitude to have. so because something is messed up it makes him "unsatisfied?"

what if you paid some movers to move a couch, and they f*ck up the paint on the walls. do you not have the right to be upset? you paid for a product/service and have the right to be upset or critique. if something gets messed up, whoever did it should fix it.

Yeah, what's with my Heavy Sniper doing its Kitty Pryde routine through the roof ledges?

Seriously, hair clipping has been in since the beginning. More noticeable with female characters. The "Wavy Bob" would poke through sunglasses, etc. Think of them as mini map ceiling / wall glitches.

If this is your biggest worry about the game, and you can't have fun because of it, then you have bigger problems.

It's the correct attitude. I couldn't give a crap if my character spawns without his hat, I can put it back within a matter of seconds. No big deal. I put a full head mask on my character and the hair disappears - well his head is covered and I wouldn't see the hair anyways so again, no big deal.

Your comparision with the movers is ridiculous. Totally different and non-cmparable scenario.

grand theft spaghetti

saints row had it all figured out with twice the options. but that was regular online and not whatever bs disclaimer is on gta online.

rockstar only has themselves to blame. they overhyped the product by promising a groundbreaking game. not a game breaking glitchfest that hard freezes the system after 5 months of patches.

Mr. LosSantos, at no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no likes, and may god have mercy on your soul. Edited by GankThis110

This is a stupid response. The people who do the coding are Professionals, or supposed to be at least. Why don't you answer the question instead of a smart ass response, smart guy.

OT: This is a valid question I think. Is the hat/hair stuff just really hard to grasp as a coder? It's not a game breaking nuisance or anything like that, but I do find myself wondering why hats come off when you get in a car.

Agree totally on the first part. With the hats coming off in the car, though, that's a bit more understandable- it's a lot better than having the hat clip through the roof. Still, it would be nice if it was on a hat-by-hat basis, as there shouldn't be any problems with a beanie.

I´m not a coder. But coders from games with way more sophisticated create-a-character modes managed to get it right without all sorts of silly things happening.

Anyway believe me, if I was a coder, this would be sorted out by now. My patience is infinite, and I´m smart, methodic, and disciplined enough.
