Using SIXAXIS while piloting?

Recommended Posts

Remember than one little movement sensing feature that are been there since GTA4? Which was supposed to allow you to steer bikes, boats, helicopters and make you reload in one casual joypad movement? Well, it does.

With a 0.5 second delay, slow enough to make you feel out of control.

Fair enough, it sucks because of that. But, is it useful for helicopter and plane combat aces to correct their aim, when played with thumbsticks? What do you think?

I remember IV set you in a boat, and had a little run down about the "new sixaxis controls"... I used them for all of 1min... said f*ck THAT and never used them for anything in any game again.... Kinda pissed me off when I recently brought a white pad for £50... knowing a good tenner of that was for sixaxis which no one, including games, even uses!

Yes, the SIXAXIS sucks as main control, but can it be used IN ADDITION to thumbsticks? This is what i'm eager to find out tomorrow. I just suggest to find it out for yourself, just in case you've been not traumatised by it in that GTA4 tutorial.

Also, why had Rockstar left it in first place? Why hadn't they implemented something new, like, mouse control, for example?

this game has more input lagg than anything i've played before, and i cant seem to fix it

cant imagine how bad it must be with the motion controlslol

What is this imaginary input lag you speak of? I have played this game across two different PS3s, two controllers and three different TV's and the game always reacts instantly when i push a button. :/

Probs has no idea about how wireless/bluetooth works and has either a wireless device and/or mobile phone between the controller and ps3

I'm back.

So: Flying and targeting with a Buzzard: fail. Imagine a hysterical woman being your copilot tugging at controls, when you pitch, same with roll. Yaw can't be controlled, which would be at least a bit practicabler than with shoulder buttons. Wobbliness and input lag everywhere, so much it's horrible.

Lazer: 15 seconds, i took off, tried a sharp right turn, lost control and crashed. Then i turned SIXAXIS off and plan to never return to this topic again.

Yes theres input lag. i have a 720p monitor that has 7ms of delay and there still is a visible delay (for me) in the game, so its GTA:V problem specially when you zoom in and the framerate drops, it is not a an issue with whatever screen or controller youre using....

You can check it out by yourself, start making circles as fast as you can with the analog and if the camera goes out of phase with the movement of your thumbs you will notice the input lag... And youll always notice it from then on :(

However i should also remember you all that you need to hold the trigger all the way down to shot, so that might be the delay that Killzone suffers.... You need to hold youre trigger half the way down when youre about to shoot so it doesnt take much time to take it to the bottom

i know what input lagg is and i've tried everything to fix it, the only other game that has input lagg for me is BF3, but its extremely minimal and sometimes not noticeable, i was able to fix most of it there by going through settings and such.

but this game is just annoyingly different, no matter what i do, i cant seem to fix it
