( AI ) Linear driving path

I bet you have seen how in missions in GTA 4, SA and more, they drive 1 line perfectly, and sometimes, if cars get in the way, they will just fly to the side.

Does anyone know if this is possible to do with modding? :)

Ive been browsing his code a decent amount now, but it dosent help me much.

Anyways I dont want the car to be recorder at that time, I want to record it myself, and then have AI do the excact same. I think this is what NTAuthority was talking about.

Thanks for your time :p

SA's .rrr carrec files work in IV, when i was working on IV:SA and VCR i used the SA carrec recorder cleo script to record the paths while playing GTASA and then used the generated .rrr files in GTAIV.

Wouldnt i need a GTA 4 map mod for GTA SA to make them compatible with GTA 4's original map?

BUMP, I require further assistance, I tried using iriedreadlock23's Vehicle Recorder, they didnt drop .rrr files, they dropped . mccr files, if this information helps. :p

Notes to remember: The car has 1 line, nothing will make it move away from the line... If a car is in the way, it will just get smashed or something similar, if a train is in the way the recorded car will go trough it.

This is my final attempt... I have been googling and such every single day and I am now only finding resoults I have already visited...

If there is no way for me to learn this without having to learn without ANY assitance at all, I think I will give up my mod idea... :)

why dont u properly explain what u want if u want people to help... make a video, post your code, explain your code, etc. Im just saying your explanation... "they will just fly to the side" is kinda vague and can mean many things

this is probably the most confusing thread on here... he is talking about cars driving in lines that fly to the side and people are saying to fix by using a car recorder... wtf are u all talking about lol, this is a coding forum he obviously is trying to script the car's path not record some path file

Well the reason I added this here is because I also would have to know how to activate the file from a script I'll make.

So apologiez for f'ing that up and post in the wrong forum ;)

I basicly just want to drive a car, drive trough tight spaces- reverse, all the normal stuff you do in GTA, and then have some sort of AI do what I did, with no diffrence at all.

The recorder I tried was pretty accurate, but I had to drive where there where lots of room, and if I reversed, the AI would be stupid and drive back and forth...

Ill try to explain better later today, but right now I got something important to do... :/

You could modify my code to suit your needs, but it wouldn't be the easiest task if you're an beginner. My mod manually records position and rotation of the car and saves it in an array. One could save that to a file, and use it on another vehicle. It already has the "other cars fly away" thing. You might also have to make the car "animate" between recorded coords, so it doesn't "lag". So yeah. Not very easy ;)
