SoftTouch
Developed by: The Farm 51 Genre: First-Person Shooter Release Date: TBA 2015 Available On: Xbox One, PS4 (IGN), PC The Polish studio has claimed that the project, which is set to release in 2015, is being designed to blur the lines between single and multiplayer with "ambitious new dynamic and photorealistic graphics" and mechanics not too dissimilar to those found in Dark Souls. It'll also mix the horror and thriller genres. While the story will focus on memories of the game's heroes, you'll be able to change and mould the characters by the routes you choose when playing. The Dark Souls-esque element comes from the fact that you'll be able to invade other players worlds and team up with enemies, in a manner similar to the Phantom system. The result is that you'll never know whether the opponents you're facing are being controlled by humans or AI. To create the photo-realistic visuals that bring the gritty universe to life, Get Even is the first game to use large-scale, real-world scanning to create expansive and lifelike environments. This 3D scanning technology combines with advanced lighting effects to create a stunning and believable world that pushes the boundaries of the genre. This teaser contains few live-action shots. It was meant to show how reality can mix with in-game elements. All locations are actual part of the game in the exact form shown in teaser. . This game look really awesome, what do you think ? FranklinDeRoosevelt
It's not going to be photorealistic or anything near that on the XB1. And the trailer was bullsh*t. Doesn't exactly tell you anything about the game. The info seems interesting though.
El Dildo
we're still at least 10 years out before video games actually become anything like true "photorealism."

FranklinDeRoosevelt
Of course, it's not possible on any platform. PC maybe, since 4k is already in use. But PS4/XB1 can never do it. But this game seems to be only for the XB1/PC. Hence why I said XB1 only. Edited March 13, 2014 by FranklinDeRoosevelt
RyanBurnsRed
Not at all interested in this. It seems cool though. Until the game is actually out and we see some *final* gameplay footage, I'm skeptical on the photorealism thing. Of course, it's not possible on any platform. PC maybe, since 4k is already in use. Mr. Scratch
That has got to be the most realistic abandoned building I have ever seen in a game, makes my explorer senses all tingly.

Realistic, sure, but it looked pretty damn empty and boring. Edited March 13, 2014 by Guest

It didn't say PS4 on the OP. Anyway, these graphics will not be possible on the consoles.

SoftTouch
Nothing here (almost) is written by me. It's just info I found from the internet. Not some bull by me. P.S: They posted this video on their own channel.
Johan
Eh... pretty pissed that it's exclusive on PC and Xbox One (I have a high end PC but not really into that anymore).. We'll see how it goes, kinda interesting after reading the details

We'll see how it goes, kinda interesting after reading the details I just checked out IGN, and it seems that they're telling that it will be realesed on PS4, not really sure, but added it. http://www.ign.com/games/get-even/ps4-20011109
iNero
Well, I saw screens of the game back when the trailer was released and the game looked nothing like the trailer. Thats just another marketing campaign to bring attention to the game...
Mista J
Just remembered that I saw this article a while back. The game will use some technology called Thorskan. http://kotaku.com/in-2015-we-might-finally-get-next-gen-visuals-1495137144

The game will use some technology called Thorskan. http://kotaku.com/in-2015-we-might-finally-get-next-gen-visuals-1495137144 yea, and this is how it looks: I mean... we have 3 year old PC Shooters that look more "photorealistic"... I also doubt, that no other developer ever thought of using real life textures. Im this wont work well either, cause the differences between those textures will be huge as you have textures with higher and lower quality. this will just look weird. FranklinDeRoosevelt
That screenshot looks beautiful tbh. I mean even Battlefield doesn't come close to that. Heck, I'll even challenge Crysis against this. But I don't think the consoles will be able to handle that really. If they could, it would affect the performance. iNero
What?! Just look at those low poly models. This isnt even close to BF4 or Crysis
FranklinDeRoosevelt
You gotta be joking. BF4 on ultra looks like a console version compared to that screenshot. Crysis, I am not too sure. It's a close battle.
iNero
lol. haven you even seen BF4 on PC? those are in-game shots from players on Neogaf. Edited March 15, 2014 by iNero
FranklinDeRoosevelt
They most definitely look a tad uglier than the screenshot of get even. Not far off though. Edited March 15, 2014 by FranklinDeRoosevelt
GTA3Rockstar
If you think the systems can't handle the graphical output of this game, then A: that'd be way disappointing and B: highly unlikely that they won't be able to. Look at Ryse and Killzone for example. First next gen game, great graphics and with room to spare. I can see them easily achieving these graphics in the short distant future. The only thing that really looks bad is faces, somehow they just can't look generated. Once they can make that look photorealistic, then that's probably the epitome of graphics. Otter
Man, the models look terrible - perhaps they'll look a little better with full shaders and sss... But jesus, Roosevelt, you're either blind as a bat (the ears are just painted on that one guy! How PS2 can you get?) or trolling like a boss. And I see nothing of this "new" Thorskan technology which apparently should make the textures photorealistic
Otter
Yeah. If i recall correctly, the technology is mainly the way they create the environment assets - scanning real locations. So I can't imagine the lightig responding very well to dynamics either,

So I can't imagine the lightig responding very well to dynamics either, yea. and if its limited to the envoirenment you can imagine how weird it will look when you got those "photorealistic" textures of the envoirenment and then the textures of the characters and and their faces. And for the sake of comparison ( related to Roosevelt's post : Crysis 3 ( in-game from players, no Crytek promotional shots ). Crysis is miles ahead.
