Yesterday a dramatic car chase played out on live TV a kidnaping/car chase played out as the perp stole 2 cars and almost kills a state trooper (the trooper is recovering) you can watch the chase here http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/local-news/raw-video-watch-entire-video-of-wild-police-chase-of-kidnapping-carjacking-suspect-caught-on-tape

What are your thoughts on this?

Gotta love how the cops fail at throwing the spike strips and the suspect fails at climbing the fence at the ending...

As a curious fact, Denver was the first city (or at least one of the first) where a police chase was recorded and live broadcasted, back in 1988.

The guy robbed a bank, took another guy as hostage and killed a cop. He was latter shot down by Denver cops, putting an end to the chase.

I remember watching this quite well actually something I'll never forget.

Anyone else see that red stick figure crossing the on-ramp at 34:50? That sh*ts creepy. Anyway it's interesting how he just stole that car. Why do these idiots even try? They know they won't win...ever!

Wonder if the guy ever got his truck back? Probably still good to drive minus the gunshots and brain matter.

Also, the news chopper blocking the chase was somewhat out of line.

I know right I thought wow it's like a real life GTA chase...I don't think they will try and make illegal considering in the first month of Legalization (January) the state had $3.500,000.00 or 2,523,780.00

The perp stole a car from a gas station, there happened to be a kid in the back. The ironic thing is the guys girl friend was arrested the same morning (1 A.M.) and he was supposed to have court the same day there was also a warrant issued the same day before this all went down. What scares me more is the guy has 12 pages of criminal records just this year....Colorado has not had a very good track record when it comes to prisoners

Yeah i instantly thought GTA when I saw him pulling people out of cars and stuff. Looked a lot like a GTA style cop chase without the shooting.

And im not saying they will try to make it illegal I was just saying the factions that are against it will try to use this as their argument.

Well it's obvious that Columbine was caused directly by Colorado's legalization of weed.

It wouldn't surprise me, I hate the new law actually...I'm fine with medical MMJ but across the board leagization makes everyone in the state look like stoners. Don't get me wrong...Pot does wonders for people who are chronically ill..cancer patients, people with epilepsy, ext. Especially kids there have been kids that have been featured on the news that had 100s of seizures a day and they are down close to 0 after using CBD (canibis oil) but I think there should be limits...

And those limits should be prohibiting other people from having fun.

Maybe it's just that I don't smoke it up and don't see the point in it...well maybe I can now that I'm facing one of the hardest things I have gone through but that's for another discussion....

So because you don't smoke weed others shouldn't either? That's a bit narcissistic, don't you think?

that's not at all what I'm saying. What I'm saying is I've never been stoned so I just do not see the point in blowing money on something that will make you feel "good" for a few hours, or getting baked to forget about your problems for a few hours instead of facing down the issues.....

So because you don't want to get high others who do should be criminalized? That makes no sense.

guaranteed the media will come out with something like ".... suspect played GTA 2 10 years ago, which may have contributed to his behavior. Police have not commented at this time..."

They really should've shot and killed that scumbag. I love doing this in GTA. To see it literally happen in real life, that's sickening. I hope that guy is tortured.
