Future Grand Theft Auto Ideas

What are you hoping to see in the future for the GTA franchise?

I'd definitely go for a modern Vice City, but i'm thinking bigger. Why not one game where the protagonist has to track someone down, and the story leads them from Liberty City to North Yankton, down to Vice City, and finishes off in San Andreas. Realistically, that'll probably never happen do to the amount of work required to code, and the fact that it'll take 15 years to develop. Just imagine the online feature! They could make airports with flights for a fee to each destination. That could revolutionize the gaming industry.

Where do you want R* to go next in terms of the GTA franchise. What features do you want added?

Rainbow Party

I'd rather let them come up with something new and surprise me, like they did with the 3 characters thing :p

And as to the location, I'd wish the game stopped taking place in the US already, like do London again or something.

The airports thing with many cities sounds great but I wouldn't care about multiplayer because I hate mmorpgs.

  1. Midwest.

Cook County, Illinois (and another second county near Cook County).

Female protagonist.

70's/80's roots reggae, classic Chicago house/hip-house and pop-punk (not necessarily) in soundtrack.

Better weapon's customization.

Realistic steak & pizza.

Listening to this interview should make us excited. Dan says it himself, they always try to bite off more than they can chew when creating and work down from that.

Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Playing as a corrupt cop working with or against another protagonist who is a crimminal

Doing police stuff like going on patrol, doing drug raids, doing investigations, RICO cases...etc Just not like True Crime, Sleeping Dogs or LA Noire I wanna see something different.

TLAD introduced Shotgun Drive-by on Bikes to the Series and Genre, maybe in a future GTA,we should be able to Dual-shoot during Drive-by on bikes,Chinatown Wars' Wanted System mix with V's Wanted System,

Chinatown Wars' Drug Dealing Mini-games,Next-Gen Evolution of the Realistic Carjacking and Hotwiring IV

brought to the Genre (even though other Openworld games are implemented it and done it better),Next-Gen

Evolution of Strip Clubs and Prostitutes (Hookers) Interactivity-something between V's Flirt System and more,

Next-Gen Evolution of Safehouse Interactivity that IV and V brought to the Genre.TBoGT's Nightclubs Interactivity,Next-Gen Evolution of the Series Auto-Aim System that GTA3 introduced 13 years ago (2001),

Next-Gen Evolution of the Legendary Mod Shop (Pay 'n' Spray),Next-Gen Evolution of GTA's Camera Modes and Cinematic Cameras, etc.Tbh I am so excited for the Next-Generation of this Legendary Franchise,Long Live GTA,

Long Live Rockstar Games (North and the other Studios) and Long Live the Great Four (Sam,Dan,Leslie and Aaron).

A pirate GTA. Just imagine going through port towns, stealing from vendors, having shootouts with the authorities with a flintlock pistol, cutting people up with a cutlass, etc. That would be awesome.

So a GTA game with no cars, just big pirate ships?

I dunno, I very rarely used boats in the entire GTA series unless the plot called for it.

It'd be like a GTA world with multiple towns, but instead of land masses between them, there'd be water. A big open sea, like in Wind Waker. I'd like that.
