Vigilante Missions Online

Okay, so me and a buddy were talking about a neat idea concerning a Vigilante Mission system. So the system would be set up like this...

In order to start vigilante missions, you will have to purchase the Vigilante Kit from the LSC's. This kit will include a standard siren, and bull bars for the grill of your vehicle.

Then once you start driving in free roam, you press RIGHT on the D-Pad, this turns on Vigilante Mode. When you are driving around, you will get contracts to subdue other players that are breaking the law.

If you catch a criminal alive (through the use of a Tazer weapon that will only be usable during mission mode, and only affects the contract target), you have to bring them back to the station.

You will then be paid for how you complete the contract. A complete kill results in a minimum payment. A live capture will result in Maximum payment (Plus) a distance rate, for having to transport.

Other players would have the option to be on the same contract as you, so vigilantes will fight over a perp to capture.

Criminal's can attack the Vigilante, to save the criminal. You would only have a limited amount of time to arrest them, if you failed to catch or kill them before that time is up, you lose the contract.

* To be a vigilante, you have to earn trust from the police by doing medic and fire department duties. Earn enough good samaritan points and you'll earn your rights. But if you cause too much carnage and damage that right gets revoked. * added by Ezfaun

Multiple contracts, and Multiple vigilantes will allow group missions.

So this conversation stemmed from the fact that there was no Vigilante missions in this game what so ever. Is it just me or does Micheal seem like the kind of guy that would just like the thrill of it once in a while?

It's irritating that R* didn't even think of adding Vigilante missions in any capacity. Y'all should of got an award for laziness.

That right there, sounds like a sound idea. Now ya just gotta figure out how to stop criminals from being vigilantes. Maybe to be a vigilante, you have to earn trust from the police by doing medic and fire department duties. Earn enough good samaritan points and you'll earn your rights. But if you cause too much carnage and damage that right gets revoked.

Sounds fun and actually gives people incentives to be a good player instead.

Yeah a little bit of that from IV, just with incorporation to Freeroam.

Lol, there's no point of doing that anymore. Our beloved Siray got banned so no more "." or "reserved"

Would be cool to play with friends but I'd enjoy if it was made using NPCS or even single player

I appreciate that you have something to say on the subject, lol. But you could just post a response without the worry of being first to respond, you know, like everyone else.

I like it. Marston's bounty missions for gtav. I think you should have to steal a cop car to do it.

Yeah something like this would be extremely easy to translate to single player. I thought the multiplayer would add a fun aspect to free roam. You could have a separate rank depending on your progress in contract arrests.

Idea sounds Good! Just one question, What happens when the Vigilante turns Criminal? What if everyone Turns Vigilante? There should be a "Criminal Kit" too it can include "Nitros, Special Car Mods, Bulletproof windows, etc.

That is one way to do it, I was thinking of making it more of one of the actual skills that you can increase, or rank up.

Hell, you could get custom paint jobs, sirens, and such for progress in the activity.

I guess that is the vicious cycle of life, lol.

The problem is the concept of setting it up, you wouldn't be able to go into a random lobby and just play it because people would f*ck around. With it only being playable in groups or role-play crews R* won't see a large audience and ignore the idea. But the fact there are no vigilante missions in SP to begin with is shocking

There are enough vigilantes on the streets as is with cars randomly turning right from the left lane, or banging a u turn in the middle of a road to stop me from getting away from FIB trucks.

Not bad, I am adding your suggestion, lol.

Hm, you could have the possibility of partying up with people in your crew, or friends to participate in the Vigilante Mission with you. Imagine a brigade of eight police vehicles chasing down one schmuck in a adder.

Yeah vehicle AI isn't the greatest.

Well of course, it's not like the ones who are designated as Vigilante's wouldn't be a force to reckon with though. That Tazer especially. It could be set up to allow multiple contracts at one time. When ever you taze the contract, they appear in the back seat of the cruiser. Lol.

The tazer could have a longer effect so that you could restrain them. 30 seconds maybe. Shortly after, you could drag their ass back into the back seat of the cruiser and send them to a lockup where they'll have to pay a bail fee. When released, they'll stay in passive mode for 2 minutes to avoid them revenge killing the vigilante officer.
