Car upgrades we need to have.

It kinda bothers me that some vehicles had more mod options in previous GTA iterations but in GTAV they don't have near as many or any at all. (Stratum and Voodoo are two cars that come to mind)

Balancing is probably the worst thing in videogames and it severely infringes on realism, I really want to see neon, hydraulics, and legit NOS

Actually, the nitrous boost was a coding error where it allowed a car to have unlimited uses for the boost upgrade that's in GTA races. It is NOT coming.

The boost in GTA races does not sound the same, and it doesn't make you go as fast as the nitro.

Sir Michael

We need an option to toggle carbon/painted. There are lots of carbon parts that would look amazing painted... I know that some cars have carbon/painted counterparts of attachments, but those are few in numbers. :/

Our garages and the cars contained in them are pretty much the central aspect of "ownership" in this game. That said, we should be given proper access to upgrades since the meat of the game is acquiring these cars and this is what I think it should look like. Now I've listed upgrades I wish we would get along with the ones we already have.

- Nitrous boosts (I know this one is coming which is great!)

- The ability to paint cars and add decals.

- We need tires to have different functions and perform in their respective functions. I'm going to expand on this one.

- Road tires - these tires are for normal road use, they provide medium traction on roads and in rain but poor in snow/dirt. Driving on dirt slows you down by 25%

- Sport tires - These tires are effectively summer tires, they're grippy when it's dry and provide minimal traction in bad weather and in offroad situations. driving on dirt slows you down 50%

- Racing tires - These tires are extremely grippy in dry conditions but ver poor on wet roads, driving on dirt slows you down 70%

- Off-road tires - These tires provide medium traction in any weather condition and driving on dirt does not slow you down.

- Drive-train upgrades to convert 2WD vehicles to 4WD and vice versa.

- Different colored tints for windows.

- engine swaps.

- weapon mods on cars. (who doesn't want that james bond car WITH the guns.)

- Visible armor on cars that actually function like bullet proof windows. (maybe against low caliber guns)

- Making vehicles manual vs automatic.

- A f*cking speedometer

Is the Engine Upgrade we currently have not an Engine Swap? Or is it just a level 4 Tune?

I would love a Speedometer. Sure there are some other mods I would like to have to vehicles...mainly ALL of them having options for modding all the way out, instead of having only a handful being able to be completely laid out.

The Manual vs Automatic thing...IIRC in MCLA, the Manual kids had their cheats, and were a LOT faster than everyone else.

Manual drivers are always faster in most racing games. This is a general rule since it's harder to drive.

Engine swaps I'm talking about are for stuff like popping an adder engine in an entity to get the adders speed in an entity for example. But perhaps the added weight would reduce handling to keep things balanced. The idea is so people can use whatever car they prefer so we aren't stuck with a bunch adder/entity races all the time in supercars for example. Just to add variety basically.

Just because it's harder doesn't make it go faster.

not so much bc its harder but bc you have sh*ttons more control over what your car is doing and when, im still all for that as an addition

Thought you meant in real life lol.

That's because it's a temporarily thing, and yes it does sound the same, just it only happens for about 2 seconds. It gives you much faster acceleration and speed than nitro, I've tested it before on an adder.

-hydraulic suspension control

-monster tires

-more variety (any mod on any vehicle and let users decide ugly or attractive)

-detailed paint control like in Midnight Club

-tires affecting performance

-chop any car/truck into a topless

-couches on the backs of pick-up trucks

-mounted, single-direction weapons (illegal, always 1 star when seen)

-winches (front or back)

I'm not a fan of chrome paint...but maybe to add more variety to it, they could add colored chrome options apart from the regular chrome.

Also neon lights

and shakotan exhausts for all cars :p

CHROME RIMS

This would be cool actually.

You can already get them but it'd be nice to not be limited to two or three sets.

Agree with all of this. I'd also like neon/under glow.

:)

Yeah. Would be nice if I could add chrome rims to my Declasse Granger instead of alloy.
