Seems impounded cars destroyed by other players are randomly lost>

I have seen quite a few posts here and in R* support saying that when people are destroying peoples impounded cars in the lot the insurance is lost. Well happened to my friend last night. hes level 12 so its good not much money was dropped into it but still. Be careful with impounded cars

This would actually make me feel bad for destroying a chadder freshly plucked from impound. On second thought... Nahhhhhh! NOW WHERE'S ME CARGOBOB?

Recently I've been bobbing vehicles to the nearby gas stations and daisy chaining npc vehicles to avoid insurance costs. I wonder if this specifically causes total loss of insurance. If so, one more reason not to f*ck with me.

I think its because the game thinks its impounded yet destroyed at the same time

Nope The random insurance bug still happens. Plot twist! It isnt necessarily slot 1 anymore.

i think thats what happened to my daemon, yesterday i logged on and found out it was listed as destroyed, i think it was impounded.

so now all the trolls who hadnt heard about this will be testing this out to see if they can make other players lose their cars...

Prolly. Best bet is to call another car to have the impounded one destroyed then call MMI before griefers can get their hands on it.

Hmmm...I had mine in impound last night, somebody destroyed it with something when I was like 2 blocks away, and it just said so and so destroyed your car and paid the insurance. I still have the car and has been destroyed since with others still paying the premium as usual.

 

I sure hope this doesn't happen to me, And to those worried, just make sure to check if your insurance is still there after you experience such an incident.

I actually do tis quite often to random vehicles in the impound but only if I know what the name of the owner of the vehicle is like lets say that XX42swagYOLOking55 kills me multiple times and I know what car he or she is driving. Since I know he is a trouble maker and the cops will eventually impound his vehicle I just bide my time with the cargobob

Holy sh*t... Last week i joined a full lobby, spawning in front of the impound lot, and the lot was filled with about 8-10 cars (mostly turismos and jesters) and for sh*ts and giggles decided to drop a grenade to see a chain reaction...

Call me drastic but if one of my cars gets impounded I immediately go into a invite only session. And retrieve it and go back to open servers.

 

Not taking any chances...
