Car upgrade oddness..

So the other day a crew member and I get round to doing some criminal record single lap races to unlock some upgrades/turbo..

 

next day I log on and hit LSC in a different class of car and I notice the upgrades were unlocked.. Odd I thought..

 

so go back with another car class.. Unlocks again available.. Turns out all were unlocked.. Despite only completing only one class.

 

 

Am I missing something here or has GTAO went awry???

Been like this since launch.

The car class doesn't matter, hell I got all the upgrades for cars doing motorcycle races.

Ffs.. So I've put this off because of the dread of doing like 40x number if classes races and it would've been this easy..

Yeah, this has been around for as long as I can remember and I'm not complaining. I got all my car upgrades from races, all I need is to do stump jumps now.

I got mine doing 1 lap races on downtown underground hitting the stunt jump off the overpass with a sport bike.

Only takes about 1:30 in between starts.

well on the plus side, it'll make my crew member happy n'all if we've got fewer to do to max out.

 

I'd better start grinding to pay for it all!

I just did mine while doing CR. Back when you could rank up and make money from it. Me and some friends kept grinding it and got ranked up and earned some cash as well as a side reward we didn't notice till later, car upgrades for ever class.

I think Rockstar has left it this way on purpose. It would be absurd trying to score that many wins in EVERY class.

Most people were pretty ticked when we all initially thought that we'd have to win to get car unlocks. Hell, people are still ticked that they have to slipstream, turbo start and do stunt jumps to unlock paintjobs.

Wasn't this something they changed with update 1.11 or was that false information?

 

As in having to race for each class to get upgrades. If it's still the same as before, then its all fine by me.
