I do wish there was the option of going to a session where guns don't work, it would encourage more innovative ways of attacking other players, and players would more likely end up in groups doing silly sh*t together and driving around in packs - we need our own biker gangs!

 

It does get tedious some days when you go into freeroam and it's like you stepped into a non-stop deathmatch.

It doesn't bother me too much being killed, I carry no cash and have enough in the bank to cover any insurance should I encounter a broke or pretending to be broke troll, but it's the tedium of it all. However, if someone was to kill me in an inventive and truly skillful way, I would applaud them and say "Well played Sir".

I can see how that would be a problem.

 

For me racing was fun for exactly two months into Online. If my schedule was more reliable I'd take part in more meet-ups, because that's the only way to find actual players in the game.

Races in GTA0 are the equivalent of deathmatches with cars. Same mindset. Object is to wreck all the other players.

 

I only ever tried to race to do unlocks. I hate every race with randoms that I have been in. Finally I just traded races with another couple of guys on the forum. I still need to do the same unlocks now, with my second character.

 

More generally, for races, deathmatches, missions or anything, the matchmaking and join system is worthless, which is the root of the OP's problem. As many people have said on this forum, we need to have a long list of all the jobs of a given type (a long list would show all the obscure jobs that people are trying to find, in addition to the 90% Jumps Jumps Jumps), showing a number of ongoing statistics for how many have joined, how long the lobby has been open, etc.

Races stopped being fun when they added that creator crap...

 

It ain't just races though, it's deathmatches as well, try getting a full lobby for DM it's takes ages..
