as I've said before, zombies are where the money is. R* would be stupid not to want to generate some new revenue with a zombie dlc(non free)

although I agree zombie videogames are kinda played out(exception being the last of us) but the bottom line is the masses love anything zombie especially now. Just the main problem is how will this be incorporated into online and make sense... I don't think it can. It can only work in single player.

Yeah I have played most zombie games out there and still, closest one to "perfect" zombie game (IMO) is Undead Nightmare. DayZ has so many issues and is just full of griefers, needs to be a story driven SP experience to be worthwhile playing for me, online modes are throwaway gimmicks in my eyes, here for now til the servers go. SP is forever.

 

So, yeah still waiting for my perfect zombie experience. DayZ comes close, but as I say, online only is a con to me, as well as the random as all hell gameplay in it. Sometimes a shotgun will kill them, sometimes not, who knows, it's ZAAMBIESS.

 

It'll come eventually, just as TDU delivered on my life long wish for a massive open world to freely drive around and etc, sure it wasn't the perfect one, but it got the ball rolling on the fact that it will sell. Roll on The Crew, the next step towards perfection in that genre.

 

So yeah, probably rambled a bit in there.

 

As for the over saturation, it needs to be that way for true progress. The crap will flop, the decent will sell, and the ideas from the latter will go into the new. It's like evolution, except there is no doubt about this.

I think this game would work better with zombie apocalypse than almost any other game, because it's such a realistic game, detailed game.

I would love destroying zombies in buzzards, tanks or just mowing them down with a carbonizzare... Or stab them with a knife... Or swing my bat to crush them...

 

I guess I'm not as tired of the whole zombie thing, since I haven't cared to play all the terrible zombie games I've checked out through youtube.

 

I would like to see it happen, but only as an optional thing ofcourse.

I seriously regret getting DayZ SA, I have played it twice since I bought it.

 

Has all the bad bits from the mod, without all the cool gear... massive fail, I don't care for that game anymore, yet once upon a time I thought it was going to be the zombie game to end all, but yeah.

 

Check out 7 Days To Die, it's kinda like Minecraft meets DayZ, but better.

Has it been done well? Once, by R* in the past, (IMO ofcourse) so surely a GTA version of UN would be most welcome.

 

Avoiding doing something just because it's been done to death is not a good thing.

The whole zombie thing is seriously overplayed right now, so no.

 

Something like a city wide riot, kinda like the end of San Andreas, could be a fun little 'apocalypse'.

 

do agree that the zombie thing is as much of a marketing gimmick as anything, most zombie games are pretty boring, something a little different and more suited to GTA would be better in my opinion, gang attacks just for being in certain areas would spice things up a bit, so rather than you going to a gang attack and initiating it by drawing/firing a weapon, you could jsut be walking out of poisonbys and someone rolls past in a manana and driveby's your ass, or you cruise through grove street and gang members start chasing you down, pull you out of your car, setup roadblocks etc... or your minding your own in blaine county and stumble across some meth-head hillbillies making a deal, who turn on you and chase you down

 

theres alot more random events that could be added to make LS a bit more immersive, that wouldnt involve either zombies or aliens...

Cool, I can use can openers, write in a diary and wave at people before they shoot my face, why the hell do Zombies still go through walls? Put your resources into what's actually important first, then you can start spewing out all of the superfluous miscellaneous crap. As if they even have the budget...

 

I've looked at 7 Days to Die, along with Rust. I'm holding off on zombie games to see how the future is. There may be a lot of zombie games, but finding many that actually do it well is... Eh.

DayZ is little more than an oversized CoD map with some really glitchy AI. Otherwise an oversized deathmatch, no reason to co-op in there, like in GTAO, so griefing is the only activity, literally.

 

I like playing them anyway, just need a decent one to come round to really sink my teeth into.

I'd love some severe weather events.

 

Like tornados & hurricanes that can throw you around like you're a rag doll or make driving difficult as it slides you around and sometimes picks you up off the ground, severe cold (certain cars have trouble starting, get stuck in snow drifts, slide everywhere), flooding, baseball sized hail that can hurt you if you're on foot and do a bit of damage to your vehicle etc.

 

Trying to fly planes in severe winds could be quite funny, the Titan being the most stable and the Vestra getting blown around like it's a leaf.

Anything new at this point would be great. I was always against zombies but they look more and more appealing as time goes by. Loved Undead Nightmare, where only a headshot would put them down for good. Lovely, just as it should be.

Since like 2 years or more there is a hype over vampires and zombies, don't want to quote all the names of tv shows movies books and video games but there is more than twilight and it's getting really annoying .... so to me right now, zombies or vampire it's the same sh*t, some teen bullsh*t and no i don't want to see that in my fav game

I would love to see zombies is gta v. Undead nightmare was just brilliant so we know rockstar can do zombies well and there is so much potential. Hell they could make a full length zombie game with a map that size.
