well, thats much less expensive than having to change your wheel type, then the colour, THEN going to put the pearlescent, then having to switch back and stuff

I just tried this glitch and OMG. First I was surprised that I got it to work, second I made my Tailgater the gold color using the classic bronze and yellow. Soooo very cool. I can't wait to try it on another one of my cars. Thanks for sharing.

Desert olive with a blue pearl will make you vehicle invisible form the air. That colour is used on some roads and most walls. I dare you to post a pic proving me wrong.

A couple days ago I was fully able to do this pearlescent trick, but when I tried to do it last night it wouldn't allow me to even though I know I was doing it the correct way. Then GrottiCollector posted that he couldn't do it either. I'm wondering if R* closed the loophole which allowed us to do the pearl trick, it certainly seems that way.

Honestly, I don't really like the whole Matte Pearl look on any cars, but hey, that's just my opinion.

that's odd, i'll try it right now to see if this is true. hope R* didn't patch it, they need to stop patching all the cool sh*t, just to leave all the gamebreaking garbage still doable

i like both paintjobs equally, though i did love how shiny my turismo looked back then

 

i just love the matte/pearlecent trick 'cuz it makes the car sorta act like a chameleon, showing off it's colors during the day (which i find works better with matte since there's no reflections interfering with it) then becoming pitch black at night

 

having only certain parts of your car shiny is an added bonus

You can do this trick with all of the paint types. I just got done making a brushed black steel with red pearlescent Infernus for my second character.

That reminds me, if you select your crew color, it will have an overlay effect on any paint type you put it on. Most of the time I use it with metal paint to have a shiny red color

I definitely didn't do it wrong. It's incredibly simple and I just did it with my Elegy two days ago. I'm glad they didn't patch it and I think your last theory is correct, that it cannot be done with certain cars.

This also works with the metal paints. A really nice colour combo is brushed black steel with ice white pearlescent, it gives the car a platinum look.

Yes, first use matte, then add pearl and finally crew color

it also works with classic paints as well,its been around for a few months now

 

I asked myself why i should "glitch" pearl on classic colors for a long time until i noticed that pearl on a classic primary color doesn't effect the the secondary color like the normal metallic paints do – now nearly every car in my garage is classic pearled

 

and for the glitch itself u can use any mod to unlock the pearl doesn't matter which mod unless u have to pay for it at least once.

Just a heads up, this method works for everything that normally doesn't allow pearlescent. Crew, chrome, meta, classic.
