What the point of having 4 seater cars and planes if only people can get in them?

 

I know there are several cars out there like the Zion Convertible that has 4 seats but you can only seat 2 people in them or the new play which is clearly a 4 or 6 seater but yet only 2 people are able to ride in them.

 

There is a gun on the turret of the tank what's the point of having that on there if you can't have a passenger to man it?

 

I guess just one of long list of things that don't make sense in this game

They probably didn't feel like making an animation of people getting in the back of a two door car. Plus, imagine what a pain it would be if you wanted to get out in a hurry.

Grinds my gears. They even have npcs sitting in those seats, almost like they're taunting us.

I mean at least have an option to jump into convertibles.

I would have no problem with the glitchier looking, but functional, teleport into the back seat... and out again... (P.S. They did THAT for the velum, and it's fine).

I suppose they made a technical decision to base the passenger capacity based on number of doors (with exception of Granger and Roosevelt), because otherwise, it would either be non-realistic (i.e. players teleporting in/out of back seats) or a a major PITA (i.e. passengers in front having to get out in order to let passengers in back out). Either way, it'd feel like a broken mechanic.

Yeah, the whole 2-seater vans thing is a major head scratcher. The Youga does have sliding side doors as well as back doors, and has enough space to seat 6 people. R* probably got lazy and didn't want to do an animation for the doors.

Could just do the whole "tap Y to get in seat 1, hold Y to get in seat 2" thing that I think is done to hold onto the side of Grangers and Roosevelt's.

 

OR... let us use the unused seats for storing things! Things like:

 

Big Guns!

 

Ammo Boxes!

 

Meth!

 

A lab of sorts to make Molotovs

 

Banging Prostitutes!

 

Storing Dead Bodies!

 

Hiding in to pull a Michael De Santa!

 

And heist equipment stuff for whenever we get the goddamn heists already Rockstar hurry the hell up with that by the way I could really use some money sometime today!

Lol i can imagine, plus you got people who start driving off as soon as half of your body gets in the car. Imagine driving off with someone sticking half way out the back.

If they made some of the SUV's six seaters (Using the 5th door to get in and out) then that might persuade some people to buy them.

 

And how about adding Sidecars for some of the bikes? a 3 seater bike with the person in the sidecar being able to use heavier weapons (like on the side of the Granger) might buff them up and a little more popular might work. (Bagger, Daemon, Akuma)

 

Or adding in ol' Billy Connolly's Bike

But seriously, even in older gta games, we were able to jump over the doors to get in. Also, let's not forget the sick ass animation in vice city I think...where you jumped over the front of the bike to get on.

This. Extremely annoying to know that Rockstar didn't bother to spend a few hours allowing you to have a passenger to man the mounted gun on top. I keep telling myself they focused more on SP and didn't bother to do a full conversion so they just imported it from SP to save some time. IMO the Vestra is not worth its price tag for not allowing more than 2 players.

Well, they left out the animation for jumping in the back of a truck, but it sure is possible.

 

I'm talking about the truck for example in the mission grab your Ballas.

Should be able to shoot any weapon from a side car except the minigun of course. Two side cars would be better ;)

Hopefully in GTA 6 they can actually make these seats usable. Can't believe that in so many games they haven't done it.

I think that the roll cage might be transparent until you purchase it at lsc. If that's the case than they couldn't make the seats usable as it would interfere with the rollcage (or lack of).

The vigero loses a seat when you add the roll cage. Yet someone can still passenger and sit on an invisible seat
