Should Taxis Be Allowed To Be Bought or Stored In Garages?

Basically what the title says. I'd like to see how others on here stand on the Taxi. Personally, I'd think it'd be neat to store them and be able to mod them. First thing I'd do is paint it a true yellow and upgrade it, turn on some Offspring, then hit the streets as a renegade taxi driver, helping out those in a pinch (for a fee of course!)

I've said in another thread that I like the idea of owning Taxis. Realistically, I think it would be through Pegasus, as all the other Service vehicles are delivered in that manner.

 

I don't really see the point in modding Taxis. You're probably owning one to RP and you don't need crazy colors or turbo to RP.

I used to play a ton of Crazy Taxi back in the day in arcades, so you can probably see where I'm coming from on wanting to modify taxis.

In the early days, I had a taxi which I stored in my garage. My hope was that we would be able to use it, as we could in previous GTA's, to do "side missions," just like with the police cars and ambulances.

To my utter disappointment, none of the service vehicles in GTA5 indulge that feature. How nice would it be to receive RP, JP, and $$ bonuses from completely delivery jobs in a taxi? Can't be that hard to implement, either.

As for you poll, I voted "no," they should not be purchasable, nor should they be modified. I'm a purist and think that if we can't do missions in them, then what's the point.

Yes. My view is that anything in SP that can be garage stored should also be able to be garage stored in MP.

Including cop cars!!

Sure, why not? It's just a sedan, similar to the Stainer.

 

Now, if we are allowing the Taxi, how about them police vehicles.

I believe the Tornado and the Voodoo (not sure) are similar to the cars in Crazy Taxi. The Tornado would look pretty great modded to be a taxi - I can only imagine. The Voodoo would look sorta weird with that gross rusty bumper.

I see no reason why not. In fact, pretty much everything should be able to be stored and modded, with the exception of the tow truck (crashes consoles), tank, and aircraft.

 

I want a custom Phantom semi truck and unmarked cruiser!!!!!

Not sure if it's well known - but you can take the News Van into LSC and attach explosives to it....nothing else, just explosives

 

Pretty sure you can keep it as well...
