Thousands of user created races/death matches but where are they?

It boggles my mind that when you choose to join a random race or DM from the quick job menu that you rarely end up in a 'new race/death match'.

It's always a small selection of the same ones you join, but if you're lucky enough to find a new race or DM then afterwards you have to replay or choose 1 of a possible 18 jobs you've seen 100s of times before or sod off to free roam. So it would be nice on the voting screen to see random user created jobs as we all like new jobs I'm sure

Logic would say that at least half the time you would find new content when choosing a new random DM/race, and when I say new I mean user created content you've not played before.

Because 98% of people are pulling up a specific job once then getting the same old stuff in the vote screens just like you say. Statistically it is much less likely that you happen across the few fresh hosted lobbies.

I keep saying what they need to do is have one of the 6 boxes be a random selection from the hosts created arsenal so we can get people to play multiple of our tracks without rehosting.

I totally agree Luap, seeing random user created jobs in the vote screen would be better. It's why people get bored because there is nothing new, it's a chore to find new content. I could guarenteed that when a new job comes up on the voting screen that is what everyone votes on. So R* should use some logic, if they wanna keep their game fresh that's the route to contemplate.

When you're hosting, it's much more likely people will stick around for a race than for a deathmatch, especially where user created jobs are concerned. This is probably because of the first few weeks of UGC, where you had a load of Deathmatches where, e.g. the creator had stashed a tank somewhere and everyone else was locked to melee weapons.

Precisely.

It feels as if when you open your phone to join something fast, 85% of the time you get something either Rockstar made or Rockstar Verified.

15% chance of getting something else.

People were enormously complaining at the beginning when the creator launched how everything was horrid, to which I agree with. Those redundant tank stashed matches ugh... People have no shame. Not to mention the terrible races people made and then attacked you in freemode after because you disliked their terrible creation. They can't take criticism and they're full of themselves...

Even I had to revamp many things and change various factors because people disagreed, with a reason of course because I want it to be enjoyable. I didn't take up arms and argue/kill everyone because of that so Rockstars best call was to tone down the chances of getting something they don't approve of...

Which is ironic given the idiotic ones they've verified so far. They're functional yet still brainless. Seems as if everyone just wants to make super car races with masses of jumps or deathmatches with military vehicles all around and literally nothing else!

Rockstar needs to give others a chance.

My proposal of an idea:

Once opening your phone and choosing a random job you have...

- 55% chance of getting something Rockstar made/verified.

- 30% chance of getting a non-verified job which has a high amount of plays/likes (Minimum 500 plays)

- 15% chance of getting something non-verified with less than 500 plays. It could be something with good potential yet lacking plays.

Even those percentages vs the volume of user created content one would expect to stumble upon more 'first time' content.

The whole selection thing is bust anyway. Its like your doing pve jobs with friends / crew and everything the selection screen throws you is pvp. And thus everyone goes back to free mode.

Or your burning some races with your crew and the selection screen offers you survivals lts or parachute jumps.

I think if youve hosted a race lobby then everything on the selection next job screen should be a race. And the same if you host a mission.

As for created content theres so much crap out there including whst gets verified. Many players simply avoid anything to do with content creator like its the plague.

Thats part of the reason its so difficult to get people to play your created content. Its like you jump in a lobby see those yellow job icons on the map plus tons of invites to join and noone ever does. The amount of crap that gets published with things like nega rp race or mega cash payout doesnt help either.

Plus being pvp only doesnt help. I think a pve mission / survival creator might get a bit more interest fron players. The whole point of crews is to be taking scores and jobs together not beating each other up
